Just come back from Mountaineer Casino in WV.

In the first wave, they only installed four continuous shuffling machines in $10 table. But the even sadder news is that there are more ploppies playing at CSM tables than other tables so it is a success for the casinos.

Ploppies don't know or don't care that CSM is not good for their game!

They cost alot of money, are slow,,, in actuality, and dealer tips go way down so the casino has to pick up the difference. They also break down on a regular basis. No one with a brain will play them.............................

The CSM's didn't kill anything that wasn't already dead. This place was cutting 3-3.5 decks off of 8 along with h17.

You are confused with the two WV casinos near western PA. Mountaineer Casino still have S17 for all BJ table games. It is Wheeling Island that changed to H17 and worsens their penetration.

Mountainwheelineer?

I think you have me totally confused about where you are talking about in the first place. Mountaineer is still s17 the last time I was there so when did it change? I haven't been to Wheeling in over two years so I can't say if conditions have deterioated further than what they were. I was thinking of going to the mountain soon so let me know if it's a waste of time.

last time at wheeling the pen was disappointing and switch to H17 was worse...was at mountaineer a bit before that and pen was good, S17 and 6 deck UNCROWDED tables (just 3) in HL room...still can't figure how wv doesn't regulate rules (consistent across state) like pa does

Mountaineer casino is still very good. It is the second best casino in my ratings of the four Western PA casino:

1. The Rivers (Penetration could be extremely good. Part time dealers are very friendly. They mispay a lot to players who they like.)
2. Mountaineer (It is getting worse. But it is still S17.)
3. The Meadows (A lot of heat. Although it only uses 6D in the entire casino, the penetration is no better than 75% no matter which table you play because the dealers are trained to be strict on the penetration.)
4. Wheeling Island (All BJ are H17 with poor penetration in most tables. But they have two very good tables if you know what I mean.)
