Probabilities of Low Points - Flat bet with BS

#1
Hi,

I'd like to know if I play flat bet with Basic Strategy (no card counting involved), what is the probabilities of low points in 1,000 hands. Particularly I want to know the worst scenario. For example (my guess), there might be only 1% chance that the lowest point is 100 units behind in 1,000 hands.

The rules are 8 decks, S17, DAS, DOA, Late Surrender.

The reason I want to know this is something related to comps the casino offers. Theoretically, about 5 units would be lost in 1,000 hands as the house edge is around 0.5%, which would be good for my friend to get the free room and meal for one weekend. However, things might get out of control and he may lose much more than I expect. I'd appreciate if anyone could provide me the information or let me know where I can find related information, thanks.

Not helpful for your specific question. But the real solution to the question is dont play for the comp, play your game for the time your success and bankroll dictates. Take the comp it generates and pay for the rest.
