Back from Biloxi

Just got back from my Biloxi trip. Overall I play 6 hours and lost 18 units. About 80% of my big bets went against me. About 40% of my big bets the dealer had BJ. I was able to salvage about 75% of those bets with insurance but still, some of those could've been MY BJs damn it! What can I say, variance can be a bitch. But I put in quality time at good games so I take a moral victory in that.

All the DD games I saw were S17 which was nice. Beau Rivage has good/great pen on DD although I did feel a little heat there. BTW, I don't know if they have a happening club there or what but Saturday night the place was almost overrun with hot, scantily-clad honeys.

One time I had a $50 bet and doubled down for 20. The dealer ended up with a 4-card 20 and paid me! Another time I was at 3rd base, hit 12 vs. 2 and got a 10. The dealer flipped over a 9 and ended up busting. The guy next to me thanked me for taking that card and gave me a green chip! I was so taken aback I'm not even sure if I thanked him.

I saw something pleasant yet surprising at Imperial Palace on Saturday night. The place was packed and every table was full, except one, where the dealer was standing all by his lonesome. Curious, I checked it out and it was a SD 6:5 game. Granted, I didn't check that all the full tables were not SD 6:5 but it was great to see.

Just put it behind you. It is only the LoooNG run that matters.
The loss was painless as it was just eighteen (18) units.
Hopefully, that is as little as 1 or 2 % of your bankroll.
The way to view that result is thus:
You could have lost 18 units in ONE hands with splits and doubles!
This is actually little different from "breaking even"

Me too

Just got back from biloxi, didnt find a decent DD game with my bankroll, but wanted to try it anyways. Played at a $25 in BR and won %30 of my bankroll. I spread from 1-8 but only bet the max twice and lost them. most of my bets were 1-6 spread. Anyways that was after 6 hours of play only!

I did snoop around the other casinos for my next trip and got lured to a single deck in Isle of Capri 3:2, 3 rounds of play, playing 2 hands. I lost half my winnings from the DD.

I guess I need to train more because that was the first time I play SD/DD

here in Baton Rouge I only play 6D but i decided to stop that and just go to biloxi (2 hr Drive)

Is SD, 3 rounds, DD on 10, 11, no DAS, S17, a good game to play?

SD is way overrated...find a fine DD and play that instead. Find a GREAT 6d and also play that instead.

There is no F....ing long run, you must go by session, the only real gauge to performance.

The Long run is for gamblers and addicts, I thought you realized that.

Nice report, but maybe a little too much info.

Let me see if I have this correct C.P.

You believe in "God" but not in "The Long Run"

:whip: ~ W. T. F. ? ~ :whip:

Perhaps you could teach us re: the "many reasons"

I know what CP means and I believe him to be correct in his thinking. If I am correct it has more to do with the definition of "The Long Run" as it pertains to what is logically practical. But, I'll let him 'splain it.

I believe we had a very short discussion about the long run at the Bash!!!LMAO
Some have a short run left, there is no long run for them anymore!! I know my long run is about to run into the short run, dammit!!!!!!! I believe about 5 or 6 at the Bash have a very nice " Long Run" to go, and i am sure they will run, run Forest run.!!!
Everyone that is invited to the next Bash should go.. Then you will see where CP is coming from.:cool: This man love's the game of BJ, and pitting himself against the pit.

Take care all

Me thinks,,, that you thinks.... the "Long Run" is God.

That may be your religion, but it is not mine.
