Chicago area casinos

You should expand somewhat in regards to the above statement:confused:

CP

I'd also like to know what the means, I live near chicago however I never frequent the casinos, however I would drive the 4 hours to get there, if it ment good casino conditions, when you say conditions do you mean:

No surrender
Deal stands on soft 17
No double down on splits
Double down only on 9,10, and 11?

All those combined are extreamly poor conditions and I usually find a casino that has my needs such as:

Surrender
Dealer hits soft 17
Double down after split
Double down on any card.

These are prime for the avid card counter, and suit me well.

Also it is sometimes the actual smokey environment that you're in, or if it feels dirty you might not want to play at that casino in particular.

Well lets see.

Surrender is generally not offered.
Lots of low limit games are 8 deck.
Smoky conditions.
Low ceilings.
Lack of tables. (this is my beef with many small Indian casinos in Mich)
No DD

Oh and as an aside the new Horseshoe is pretty nice in the high limit area.
The no-mid show on lots of tables stinks, but the dealer cuts vary greatly.
Its standard 6 deck, DD any card, split up to 4 times, etc.

Four Winds is still by far better, but its so much further from Chicago than Horseshoe

DD at majestic star

I just hit majestic star in gary for my first BJ experiance. I saw lots of shoe games but there was a 5$ min DD game. S17 double on 10,11 3:2 payout. I didn't play it that much because it was a pitch game and i was uncomfortable with it. Limits do go up in afternoon/evening time to i think 10$. I would look into the rules more before playing though.
