Hey guys.

I am going to be making a team starting in May, and I am wondering about some good Canadian Casinos to hit.

They NEED to be only 19 years old to play, and the better the Blackjack rules the better.

Thanks!

Casino Windsor is your best bet, being about 21 minutes away from Detroit:

(Dead link: http://www.casinowindsor.com/CasinoInfo/Directions.asp)

Casino Niagara is a fun 4 1/2 hour drive for you. With a 500 mile round trip, gas is probably going to eat into your EV. (Quite estimate: 39 mpg, 2.50/gallon = ~$32 in gas-- will be more when you drive less highway, use a less efficient car than 2001 honda civic, gas goes up because Reason Of The Day). And with a 9 hour round trip, you'll probably be looking at getting a room, if you are going to be playing any significant amount of time. Rooms are ~$100/night (probably less in the surrounding Flea Bags). The upside is you do have two casinos, Niagara (sucks) and Fallsview (better).

Casino Rama is in Orillia, which is even more butt-farther than Niagara at 297 miles, making it a 600 mile round trip (rounded up). Same issue with getting a room, though. It's got more BJ tables than Niagara and less heat, but there's no pretty scenery.

Then there's the CNE casino that runs for 35 days. 236 miles puts it a bit closer than the other casinos. However, it is in downtown Toronto, so expect some high, high hotel prices, parking, etc. Due to its easy access and low heat, it might almost be worth arranging a month-long stay at a team-member's house (kicking in some rent money, of course-- cheaper than a month in hotels). It seems like a good place to hit, but be forewarned: if it is a charity casino (not 100% sure about this), then the highest possible table max will be $100. No charity casino in Ontario can take any single bet larger than $100CDN, by law. So factor that into your EV equations.

All casinos are 19+, across Ontario.

Now, the next thing to think about is the team. Some issues that will be raised are:

1) How does the bankroll work? Equal share?
2) How are profits handled? Given to winners, or divided (equally or based on BR contribution?)
3) How are losses handled?
4) Who are you, and why should you be trusted with other people's money?
5) Who are the other people, and why should you trust them with your money?
6) How/where will the team meet, practice, interview other members, discuss strategy, etc, etc.
7) How does a member pull out, if they desire?

And all the other questions and concerns that go into forming a team-- over the internet at that.

Have you been to any of the above casinos yet? If not, why not pop over to Windsor one afternoon. Even if you don't play, get a lay of the tables, back count a bit, watch how the Bosses act, etc.
