is there any place decent to stay if you plan on attending teh weekend performances of the rodeo? I was thinking of going this weekend and staying at the circus or one of the adjacent properties. I can get easy easy comps at circus without even really playing but was wondering if any place is offering anything good this time of year.

also anyone know anything about heat levels during the rodeo? Like should i just wear wranglers and a cowboy hat and blend in better or what?

If you plan on attending the rodeo this weekend, better hurry up. The Legacy still has some rooms for a 4 day uninterrupted stay (2Q-smoking), but the other rooms have sellouts for some of the days. As far as the weather, it should be real nice, mid 80's until Sunday when it will push 90.
Dress is casual, comfortable, either Cowboy or Gentile will do.

i was more talking about bj heat in town there during the rodeo if it would be easier to blend dressing like everyone else. i can get circus circus rooms usually any time i need them, most casinos seem to still have rooms for $65+, i usually only stay at circus due to family friends working there who will comp the rooms for me as long as he is working the pit at night

Oh, that heat! :flame::laugh: Outside of the Siena and Boomtown, if you keep your SD sessions under an hour and DD under 1 1/2 hrs you should be fine. If your min is green however, I'd stay away from the small clubs in Sparks except for Ascuaga's. If you're staying at the Circus I'd stay away from the BJ tables there.Their d10 and poor pen generally sucks.

i usually play at the circus just BS till a friend comes over and informs me my rooms are free for the time im there as well as some food. Ill remember to stay away from those places, havnt set foot in boomtown in like 7 years but with cabelas there i was planning on taking the trip, thanks for the info to stay out of their casino. i mostly play red but some green on the occasional trip. Ill remember what you said about times, thanks Bj Bob

Tahoe about the same also for time limits? was curious since its such a far drive i may stop in either north or south lake for the night and hit the tables a bit there.

If you're playing red you can certainly play at Boomtown for a while, just keep it 1:4. The houses in Sparks, i.e. Rail City, Western Village etc. will be fine. Don't forget to check out Peppermill and Atlantis, but don't expect very good games there.
The pitch at Tahoe is nothing to get excited about, but the scenery is fantastic if you have a few extra hours to blow. Good luck

ive spent many many days in tahoe but that was before the montebleu took over caesars. i like the peppermill casino except for the lights there, bugs my eyes too much to play more than a few minutes there. Helps to keep sessions short though
