Party Poker Blackjack

Party Poker Blackjack seems really tilted to the house advantage! I realize in a game such as BlackJack, or any casino style gambling game, there will be upswings and downswings. Party Poker, however, seems to defy the odds almost every single time. I have never in my life seen a "dealer" consistenly pull 4-7 card 21's. In the last 3 weeks, I have made attempts to play (using basic strategy) and lost every single time. Any tiny win, was immediately followed by losses again and again. One day, I decided to start with $100 and play $5 hands (splitting and doubling where necessary). I lost the first 10 hands in a row. (this includes having 20 against a dealer showing a 4, 5 or 6 on four occassions and having the dealer pull 21 on all four occassions. I also had 2 double down opportunities - The first double down chance, I had an 11 with the dealer showing a 6. I doubled down only to receive an Ace and watched the dealer pull 4 cards to 17 and win. I then had another double down opportunity with a 10 against a dealer showing a five and I received another 10. The dealer then pulled 8 cards to get a 21!!! At one point, the dealer got blackjack 4 hands in a row. Now, I can understand if this was a one or two time experience, but I have now been playing over 3 weeks and almost always watch the dealer pull 5-7 card 21s. I also notice that many of the times I get blackjack dealt to me, the dealer also gets a blackjack and I push. It is also fascinating to watch when I win a hand and then press the next bet up, 3 out of 4 times I lose the next 4-5 hands in a row. I then finally lower my bet and win a hand. (Almost to entice me to press up again) So press up again and lose the next 4-5 hands in a row again. I find it hard to believe I am on "that" bad of a losing streak that any dealer could win that many times in that fashion consistently. I am curious if anyone else has been experiencing this same type of behavior? Any word on if Party Poker is rigging their BlackJack games? I hear tons of rumors that they "rig" their poker tables, but I am still extremely scheptical that a site that large would need to rig anything. They make enough as is on the rakes and other costs. I just could not believe the types of hands I watched the dealer pull almost every single time over the last 3 weeks. Maybe other people have had better luck. If so, I would love to hear any of those stories.

Even more proof

I just took $100 and tried to prove my previous post. I won the first 2 hands at $5 a hand. I then pressed up my bet to $10 and lost the next 10 in a row. (that included the dealer pulling three 20's and two 21's) I played a few more hands at $5 that went up and down for 3 or 4 hands, until they won the rest.

Someone else out there please try this and see your results... I am very curious if I am just the unluckiest BlackJack player on Party Poker or if this happens to others on this site....

I've done a lot of online BJ while bonus hustlin over the last month or two, and have experience similarly ugly streaks as yours. And it's just miserable, I tend to feel like the game is buggy, if not rigged.

But that's a pretty bogus assumption at a reputable shop. (And let's face it, most are reputable, especially with regards to the game itself). I've also experienced pretty ridiculous winning streaks, winning hand after hand that I just shouldn't win. (6 vs 10s, etc).

It's my own personal hunch that much online software might be "streakier" than real life, but still fair. Even this is debatable, since you can play so many more hands faster online.

And finally, the most important thing, playing online is a -EV play unless you're bonus hustling, so I don't remember doing it except very rarely, or on play mode. And if you've been hitting the same site repeatedly, I'm thinking you're not hustling the bonuses.

Here is my experience with PP Blackjack:

I think it is rigged to a point, however I adopted a different strategy for this site that works a little better than basic strategy.

But before I get into it I have noticed that I never get too excited about getting dealt a 20 against a dealer 6. or my personal favorite is the double-down to 21 and push (which once happened 4 hands in a row against low dealer cards)

I've had counts of -30 when I'd count cards on that site. I think about 1/5 of my blackjacks were pushes even in those high negative counts.

I've had times where I have made $1000 on the site, but I've had streaks of 10 or more hands that despite getting dealt pat hands the whole time have lost.

I've played at a number of sites and the worst as far as seeming rigged is casinoroom.com . Play about... 25-50 hands there and watch how many times the dealer draws out to 21. IT will be worse than PP.

The strategy I use on PP that seems to be relatively effective is to minimum bet $1 until you have a few hands where the dealer pulls off those miracle 2 3 2 3 2 4 5 draw outs then raise your bets. Usually the next hand comes out either a 20 or a blackjack. Also, be more liberal with taking insurance on it too.

I'd honestly stick to live BJ if you can. Not only can you track cards you can watch them come out of the shoe.

Unless you're at the Cherokee CAsino in NC (Digital Blackjack)

Most casinos reshuffle the deck after each hand. And the ones that don't that I know of reshuffle very quickly, Partygaming's (Dead link: http://www.partycasino.com/games/gamerules/blackjack.html) _own page_ says they cutoff at 10% penetration. I've seen 20% (Starluck maybe).

And this isn't even like a CSM where maybe you have a lag time where a deck or two of cards won't get messed with right away, when the software reshuffles, it grabs every card.

Unreal Results Again

So I decided to give BlackJack yet another try at Party Poker and found the same terrible results again. This time, I played 20 hands and lost 18 out of the 20 of them. In fact, the dealer showed an A as the face card for the first 4 hands and 2 of them were BJs. The only time I got a 20, the dealer pulled 21. The 2 times the dealer showed a 6 (and I had a double down opportunity) the dealer ended up revealing a 5 and then pulled a 21. Just seems so truly amazing that every single time I play on their site, I see these same results. Maybe I am just really really unlucky, but man, it isn't even entertainment when you lose so many hands in a row without so much as a run of a few good cards to make it fun. I even sent Party Poker an e-mail asking them about their BlackJack and how many "decks" they use and about the legitimacy of their game and also made a request for some types of comps for my play and I have not received a response from them. Kind of odd considering they could at least write me back and tell me they are legit (which is what I would expect them to do). Anyway, would enjoy hearing more from anyone else on their experience on this site. Playing BJ on their site has become a sort of "watching a train wreck" philosophy. Where I can't seem to look away even though it is a lousy thing to watch. I almost get a kick out of seeing how incredible the dealer hands turn out to be. (has anyone ever witnessed a dealer show a 5 and the player has 16, only to watch the dealer pull 7 cards to make a 17? Well I have now seen this 6 times on Party Poker. Truly boggles the mind!

Hope others have had some better luck!

Heh!!

Yeah word up for that man... partypoker is really patethic...
Must be bogused for sure...i had the same problem. Some miracle cards appearing out of nowhere. My biggest problem was that it was my first online experiênce, and so ..i was realllyy let down by this. Now that you wrote this topic i feel much better, and still have faith in online bjack to make some money off bonuses.

Cheers and good playin!

I have lost alot of money by playing On-line blackjack, but I mean yeah sometimes it seems to be rigged, but I would say for the most part if you stick to the reputable casinos it should be pretty fair.

And if your bonus hustling you should be okay.

IMO Partypoker blackjack is not rigged. The reason everyone thinks it's rigged is because they are losing. And they are losing because it is a negative expectation game. So losing all your money is the most likely result when playing blackjack on PartyPoker.

Terrible...

So i figured with little time left before they shut down US accounts on PartyPoker, I would play a little more blackjack and try my luck.... As expected, I watched Party Poker pull cards that were just truly amazing. I played 50 hands... Of those 50 hands, PP got 16 blackjacks.... I received 2 blackjacks (1 of which was a tie with the dealer). Suffice to say, I lost $100 (playing $2-$4 a hand) in 50 hands.... just amazing....

I have played plenty in person, and never seen so many consistent wins in a short time (i understand in the long run a casino always wins, but this isn't even fun or entertaining when the dealer gets 16 BJs in 50 hands).....

I'll be happy when PP shuts down in the US and loses our business... screw them and their investors!

Ah, now we'll finally get to stop hearing about the "rigged" partypoker blackjack! :D

You won't be hearing rigged from me. I've got a nice profit from them in my 1200 hands and I hope they get so desperate for customers that they throw more bonuses my way. As long as there are people willing to play on luck instead of advantage then I'm sure there will be.

You have had a terrible time of it with the PartyPoker blackjack. Why not try another casino or two? I have enjoyed both Starluck and Planetluck, and while bonus hunting made a nice profit to boot from them.
Just my two cents, since I feel your frustration and maybe a change of pace is in order. As far as I know, Starluck and Planetluck haven't killed US accounts YET, since I have no new emails from them that say as much.

My experience with PP Blackjack:

I have been a player of party poker for 2 years.

Never try their BJ after they upgrade the software in the first two month because I have to focus on poker when I play.

One day, I lost $57 in poker and I want to get my money back soon so I choose their BJ.

I started with $5/bet and my balance up and down for severl times.

At last, I decide to change my bet to $10 and more-----yes, lost $60 within 14 hands in 2 mins.

I have never play their BJ from then on.

On 22th Sep. PP doesn't accept player from my country and close my account.

Now, It doesn't accept player from US too.

How about the future of PP? Anybody know?
