Blue Heron Casino, Port Perry, Ontario

Have any of you visited this casino? I've played there a few times and the results have been very bad, much worse than in any other casino I've played.

The table limits are $100, minimum bets vary from $10 to $25. Rules are pretty standard for any Ontario based casino: S17, DOA, DAS, pen varies, but I've seen some very good ones (87.5%). All tables are 8D, except one 6D table ($25-$100).

My experience here is that I have consistently seen some very good TC's, and have been consistently killed on those. Not even close to any other place. So many times I've seen TC go to +5, +6, or higher, pushing out my max bets, and getting killed, time after time.

I'm really starting to suspect some foul play here. Do you think that they may be pulling 10's out of those decks on a few tables, here and there?

When I look into the spreadsheet where I track my scores in all casinos I go to, this one is the worst, by far. Just a coincidence, or maybe something else?

I most likely will not go back to that place, but just wanted to hear your opinion. Am I seeing things here that do not exist, or have any of you experienced something similar?
I know that this is an old thread but this is the casino that I go frequently and my observation is exactly the same as yours (DON). TC will go up to +5 and higher and consistently loose on those hands. The rules are good specially the penetration. I have thought that the casino might be cheating but i gave them the benefit of the doubt because this is a charity casino which means that the government owns a higher percentage of the casino which makes them the owner. 2 days ago I won $500, I won those at the counts of TC +1 to +2. But yesterday I lost $300 and lost those at the of counts of TC +4 to +6.

Do you guys think it is just the variance or something is fishy here. Again I have been visiting this for sometime now and every time the same observations and outcome. My count is accurate cause One time I only stood at the sideline and start counting I made sure that my count was 100% accurate,TC goes up to + 4 placed my bet but then lost.

I was planning to go back tomorrow during the day to go head to head with the dealer but when I stumbled in this post I will have to reassess the situation and think it over if I still want to go back there.

Need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone been here recently? They raised their max from $100 to $500 and they are testing a $2500 max for private tables. My question is, is there still 6d shoe games?

They still have 6 and 8 deck shoe games with the good rules, but the penetration is very bad now. For the most part, 2 or more decks cut off. There are exceptions which are dealer dependent. If you're not local, I would not advise making a trip.

Fallsview is equally bad on the main floor. Haven't been in the high limit area in a while. Haven't been to Rama or any other Ontario casinos in a while either.

Still S17. 6 deck blackjack at $25 during slow times and $50 or $100 when busy. Penetration is still terrible with 2 or more decks cut off.

Yes, on selected tables. You can also surrender after splitting, including on split aces (surrender or stand only on the aces), but that's not worth very much.

that's novel. i presume the best strategy would be to surrender any split ace valued < 17 vs A,T, 9 and 8. Have you had a chance to make it down to the new shorelines thousand islands or the other one that is closer to t.o. (belleville) yet?

Yes, and also surrender 17 vs A.

No. I don't travel that way very often.

Thanks for the correction. I double checked your figures and they are correct. Surrendering 17 vs A is part of the rescue strategy for Spanish 21.

Went to Bellville back in september. Rules are same as Thousand Islands shorelines, 9-10 bj tables at bellville compared to the 7 of thousand islands. Cut is about 1.5-2 decks. Was counting with a friend did not catch any heat yet, if anyone can give an update on the heat level it would be cool!
