I saw "do not play if you suspect cheating" on cbjn for Mole Lake (although it was dated 2004. Even so, still unsettling. Anybody whose been there recently have any comments about them?

Last time I played at Mole Lake was back in 1993 and I lost $137. I have heard stories about Mole Lake, but really don't know if any cheating was involved. This is one of those casinos that is deep in Indian country with nothing else around.

The blackjack tables at Mole Lake don't open until 3:00 pm and that alone tells me it isn't worth a trip. If you are going to be in this neck of the woods, I would recommend either North Star or Keshena.

I won like 500 bucks there in 10 minutes right after they opened up the game and the pit boss looked like he was about to cry. Gotta love ruining a guy's day like that.

Pretty much not worth it to travel there.

Anybody know a few things about this place or have friends who have played a lot here?

I had a wierd session - went up a max bet and a half, than went way way down nonstop.

I play well within my means with a safe RoR and this was not a major hit to my BR.

The wierdness started with a new dealer, and the behavior of this banter of this indian woman and the pit boss had turned really sour in a subtle, bitter, conceited sort of way. The pit boss said something out loud - "that's a man's bet over there" - in what sounded like mocking/resentful tone and the dealer was saying wierd things to me as well (asking me personal questions while having this look of sequestered disgust on her face). I didn't stick around long after that, but not before I just started losing like crazy.

I'm going to say that there's a 90% chance i'm just being paranoid and it was just another typical negative variance bust out session. But the disgust/conceited behavior of the pit boss and dealer and the "do not play if you suspect cheating" on cbjn leaves a bit of a apprehension in my mind. I gotta wonder if they feel morally right to cheat counters if they should be so bold to sit more than an hour on their one little 2d blackjack table. The place is very small, and the staff seem very rude and sweaty.

I really hope cheating was not the case and it's just a regular bust out session along with a serious bout of silly, naive paranoia on my part. I really would hope they are not so inclined to resort to that in place of a backoff.

Id really like to get more information on this place nonetheless. It is a really small place and very remote.

Any more comments on this place? Anybody else have a bit of experience with this place?

Many years ago a green chipper posted a very similar story about Mole Lake on bj21 green chip.

From time to time I ask different folks about Mole Lake. My impression is most people don't like the place.

You wouldn't be able to copy and send me the message, would you? I'd like to hear what he has to say about this place.

I might hit the place up again - when I visit my brother's again - for a quick hit and run session, but keeping an eye out for a odd behaving dealers, wierd streaks of high counts, and any deck changes. Gonna lower my bet ramp as well just to be on the safe side.

While I don't have intel on Mole Lake, I'd caution against playing at North Star. They had a female dealer (in her late 30's I'd guess) that deals seconds - obviously on their double deck pitch games.

Did they catch her and charge her or was this just a personal observation of yours?

Just so you know, most Rez casinos that offer a pitch game will have a dealer on staff that can be called in to practice, mechanic, moves against a player they dislike, or simply want their money back from like a,, a skillz player.

No, the Rez casino will not catch that dealer and for sure no charges will be leveled:laugh::rolleyes::grin:

On Casino Cheats

You would think casino types would be afraid of cheating. Small and large businesses do get various forms of vandalism, including very serious forms. The dealers and pit do go home at night. In today's world there are many who are not afraid of serious physical confrontations in broad daylight under camera scrutiny. If I ran a casino or was a dealer I would not cheat, no way, no how. I bet a lot of potentially dangerous unstable people gamble.

While we are on the subject what do you think you chances of getting a mechanic dealer at the Leelanau Sands ? I thought I seen it one time when I was there but I can't be sure. There was a dealer change and I noticed the holding of the cards were higher up on the chest plus the angle of the head. Am I nuts or just being paranoid like I would tell everyone else ? What is your opinion ? Would you play DD there ?

I would recommend all Skillz players to descend upon that casino establishment known as the Sands and Turtle Creek, especially now,, in the beauty of summer.

Can it be much better,,,anywhere?

Hahah i've been to half the Indian casinos in midwest and I never once though for second I was being cheated even while having worse losing streaks.

As I said, the perfect storm of eerie factors contributed to my wondering about this place - especially the "do not play if you suspect cheating" on cbjn.
