Canadian casions
Niagara Falls on the Canadian side is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Every where you look you only see green grass, pretty flowers and wonderfully landscaped yards. No trash or no graffiti. There is also a lot of interesting attractions to visit. I just got back after spending four wonderful days on the Canadian side, but lets talk about the casinos.
I only went to the two casinos on the Canadian side, Casino Niagara and Niagara Fallsview Casino. Casino Niagara is older, like visiting downtown Las Vegas, and there is nothing extra special about it. Niagara Fallsview Casino is only one year old and it is beautiful. There is a lot of space and every thing about it is first class.
Now the difference between Canadian casinos and Nevada casinos. In Canada the age to smoke, drink and gamble is 19 (NV = 21, smoke = 18). All your winnings in Canada are tax free (NV = major taxes). The progressive limits and side bet payouts are lower in the two casinos, for slots and other table games. This makes a lot of the table side bets not worth it. EXAMPLE: Pai Gow Poker in NV (Reno) the highest fortune bonus pays 4,000 to 1. At both Niagara casinos the highest fortune bonus pays only 2,500 to 1. Niagara casinos Mega Bucks $1 slot machine progressive pays 1.5 million, for now. In NV it is 10+ million.
The Blackjack tables at Niagara Fallsview Casino are almost all CSM. You can find one shoe game (8D) per pit, but 25 to 500 limits. At the CSM tables the limits are 5 to 200 and 10 to 300. All BJ games have same rules: double on any first two cards of hand, even after split. Split up to 4 times except Aces only split once and only one card per Ace. Dealer stands on all 17s. In the high limit area all BJ games are 6 deck shoes with table limits of 100 to 2,500.
