Had a great time in Vegas and left with more money than I came with.

We were looking for low limit tables and no offense to the Wizard of Odds guy, but we did not find all his survey to be accurate. I understand that the casinos might have taken advantage of Labor day crowds but the mid-week wasn't noticeably different.

Couldn't find a $5.00 table at PH, not even a 6:5. Same for NY-NY, Mirage, Venetian, Pallazo, and TI.

The 4 queens didn't have any low limit 3:2 as advertised and when I inquired, they looked at me like I was stupid.

El Cortez had low limit 2 deck and single deck 3:2.

Circus Circus (what a dump) had 2 $3 tables, one of which was non-smoking. Kind of funny, since a smoker could stand 2 feet away, lol.

Now, for the best experience, I absolutely recommend the the Golden Nugget. Plenty of regular $5.00 games, at least as regular as you'll find at the low mins (H17, multi deck, 3:2, surrender allowed). They moved our table to $10 a few hours into the evening, but we got to keep playing at $5 and there were other tables that stayed at $5 including at least one in the pleasure pit. Most of the dealers were extremely friendly and helpful. One of them, once she realized we were decent tippers and amatuers, would literally stop us from making a mistake. A lot of them were funny too. It will absolutely be my go-back place. We left the first night when they brought in an extremely slow dealer. I wonder if they do that on purpose, because it seemed like everyone was up at this table for about 3 hours. I could have dealt as fast as this guy -- it was such a change that we colored up and went to eat.

The best thing was I got my wife to try blackjack and she liked enough to quit playing those stupid slots. It's always fun to leave Vegas with more than you came with:)

Its really hard to find a $5 dollar games on the strip. If you are looking for $5 dollar games then you need to be playing downtown.

Now $10/$15 dollars can be found during the midweek and during off-hours.

I recently played the El Cortez, 5$ table, one deck blackjack; only .18% house advantage. Also left with more money that I came in with!
