So im playing my game in my fashion, and I was just hanging out, I wong in and Im casually dropping my green chips, noticing the player to my left is also playing two hands of green chips, so I think cool, ill blend in awesome here. I call my buddy over, who was counitng another table, and hes backlining me, end of shoe comes, so we both decide to naturally take a break and savor the winning during the first part of the new shoe......

shuffle.....

Guy to my left drops to 2x 25 dollars, im like....eh?
next hand 1x 15 dollars and plays that way the whole shoe, the pit observes this or me, or my 4 purple chips at a 15 dollar table or soemthing, and commented on all the "low cards" on the table during a hand midway through the shoe after watching our table for a few rounds, i suppose looking for some kind of awkward response from one of us

Just as I reach to drop my bet, the dude next to me starts betting green again...playing perfect, and then surrendering 15, at which time I confirmed that the three of us, occupying all of the betting spots on the table were all counting cards.

I couldnt imagine what would happen if they realised this and confirmed their suspicions on not one of us, but all three of us were counting:eyepatch:

I ALWAYS assume another player is a counter if they are young and playing 2 hands. Sometimes it turns out not to be true but not that many people play 2 hands

Where do you play that still permits backlining. Feel free to PM me, if you'd prefer not to reply publicly.

Why do the casinos think that "older people" don't count cards? I see tons of younger players who haven't a clue. The movie 21? I hope you're right-us older players can act confused and just throw out big bets now and then in our "confusion" LOL:joker:"So-how does this Insurance bet work again Mr Dealer?"

the guy was an older gentleman, at one point i started losing (in a good way i was excited)it personally when he had an 8 card draw and didnt bust, then he went for a 9th and busted but none the less that was exciting. It was a fun shoe too, between that splitting 3 tens, a crazy asian guy getting frustrated, and call of duty black ops came out,and a banging philly cheese steak. rah

it was a good night

Because of the MIT Team they assume college kids are a major counter demographic

That movie has got your head some kinda screwy man:whip. Casinos don't sterotype a particular graphic when it comes to counting..And if they do, it sure ain't the young crowd:laugh:

I read an article that the #1 suspect for a Card Counter is a White, College-Aged male that is dressed "nicely"

Wearing glasses pushed it over the top.

In contrast the least likely to be suspected is an old Asian woman.

I need a disguise as an old, Asian woman.

This forum is really great. I think I would go nuts if I could not discuss CC with anyone else. Because of course, I can't and don't talk about this with anyone in daily life. This is a pretty nice community.

There's a bit more to it than that. A young male with gold chains and a "Jersey Shore" demeanor is going to be seen as a playboy gambler if he is betting big while a male the same age with a more conservative and studious look is going to be a suspect. A guy my age who looks, talks and acts like a professor is going to be suspect, while one who comes across as a crazy old drunk :)cool2:) is going to get away with a lot more. What they're looking for is people who are smart. It usually works out badly for the casino because they are stupid, and the smart can recognize the stupid quicker than the stupid can recognize the smart. How many of the stupid gamblers we meet at the tables think we're smart?

If I had to pick a "beard" to get big bets down, it would be a young black male with a gangster style (or whatever it is the kids are calling it these days!) It would play to certain repugnant racial stereotypes regarding intellect and self-control, and at the same time a more reasonable stereotype about males in that demographic regarding bravado, materialism and a desire to show off.
