Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that all Macau casinos used CSMs, rendering their games useless. Or are you a basic strategy only player?
I'm a basic strategy only player. And yes, Macau casinos are all CSM, so Advantage Players are "screwed."
(although, at the Wynn Macau, played cards go into a discard tray and the discard tray is only reshuffled and placed back into the CSM after a few rounds, so
technically it would be possible to accumulate a small count at the Wynn, but given it is six decks I doubt it would have a extremely large effect).
Personally, since I gamble for fun rather than monetary profits, I'd rather a house edge of 0.08% with a CSM than have a shoe game with a house edge of 0.26%. My money lasts longer, I get more time at the table (and therefore more complementary drinks), and I have an overall larger chance of being able to walk away with my money, or a small profit I can blow at the nearest bar/restaurant.
