Anyone know if they're still using shoes out in Sharm El Sheikh or if they've now switched to CSMs?

Toying with the idea of heading out there.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Regards to all forum members. I am one of the best blackjack specialists in the world and want to share some information with you. Few good casinos are left in Sharm-el-Sheikh. One is in Domina Coral Bay hotel. The casino name is Aladin, penetration is 4/6, Asur, 5-200 euros. In Sinai Grand Casino there are automatic shufflers on 5-200 tables, 25-500 are hand dealt, but it's unlikely they'll accept advanced palyers. Automatic shuffler in Royal casino. Check the deck consistency in Naama Bay casino before play, they may add some small cards on cheap tables, the same is the case in Sharm casino.
All money in the town are won by Russian players. $$$

Tall Claim

Boasting something like that, I mean... WOW, that is a pretty tall claim. What is the basis of someone saying something like that? Is it definitive in terms of being an author on the subject? Is it based on lifetime earnings? Is it designing unique new theory and methods that are improvements on previously conceived ideas?

I might have two out of those three ranking quite high on the scale but I would never make a claim like that regardless of expertise, self-perceived or otherwise because I just don't know and I am sure there are multitudes of people out there better than me. That's why I have to hang out here to learn and become a better player. I am smart enough to know that I do not know it all... not even close. Something I learned long ago as an instructor--- "You can't teach anything to someone that already knows it all"... and those are usually the first people of any given group to fail miserably.

You mean you haven't heard of Vittorio Gramazeka? I'm surprised he's using his real name as a handle, but I'd recognize that stylish and worldly prose anywhere - why, I experienced over 200 pages of it with his classic "A Trek through Heaven and Hell: 30 Days of Blackjack in Uganda", along with his equally well-regarded "Me Love You Long Time: An AP's Sordid Affair with the Games of Myanmar." He is, simply put, the number one traveling authority on international blackjack - which makes his claim to be simply "one of the best blackjack specialists in the world" actually rather modest.

Glad to have you here, Gramz!

Was that serious or sarcasm about Gramazeka ? The post looks like it was cut and pasted from the Parker pages.

I have been to Taba and Taba heights but not Sharm (with the way Egypt is today I believe you take a risk if you go to Sharm, it's too much of a target).
I remember hearing that they were quick to spot and bar counters in Sharm, although rules were good - ESA at the time.
