3 Card Poker in Land Casinos

#1
HI

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good site on how to play this game effectively or if its even worth getting involved in? Want to take a break from BJ for a little while.

Thanks in advance

It's a simple game- Stay in with a Queen, six four, bail without it.

Only casino I know of that still pays the original odds is The Pioneer in Laughlin, Nevada.
The game should pay 40-1, 30-1, 6-1, 4-1, 1-1 on the pair plus. Any other pay schedule will kill you in the long run.

If the player is able to "peek' and see an ace, king, or queen from the dealer's hole card, then toss Queen, six, four. Bail out of a king, if an ace was flashed. The 3 cards handled by the dealer are sometimes mishandled, so keep a close eye on dealers to gain the advantage.

Sorry to appear stupid but what do you mean by above?:)

Only stay in if my hand contains either a Queen or 6, 4 - or only if hand has Queen and 6 and 4?

Thanks

Q,6,4 minimum. Example: Play Q,7,2 but not Q,5,4 or Q,6,3.

From the Wizard's link above:

"Many people have asked me what I mean by queen/6/4, wondering for example whether queen/7/3 is greater than queen/6/4. In any poker based game hands are scored first according to the highest card, then the second, and then the third, and so on if there are more. So a queen/7/3 would beat queen/6/4. The queens tie so the second highest cards are used to break the tie, and a 7 beats a 6. The third card does not matter in this case because the hand was resolved by the second card."

For instance, you would play a Q65, Q72 and K32 but fold a Q63, Q54 or J98 (assuming they are not flushes).
