Card Counter Caveat

Whenever you see only one or two tables of a particularly good game,
you may rest assured that surveillance is charged with protecting said game.

Very often, surveillance uses the (quasi-irresistible) lure of a tasty game as an effective "counter-catcher".

Forewarned is forearmed.

Advantage players steer clear.

is tunica even worth going to, im moving over to the MS coast in the next several weeks and have played there several times, but havnt driven up to tunica. if its worth going, ill check out the city, but if the coast seems better ill stay at the coast and play. I was just looking to spread my options and not play one area too much

No. Horseshoe is usually less than 50% pen, and Sam's town is bad as well. Most of them deal only two rounds to 4 players, and maybe 4 rounds heads up.

usually???? we are talking single deck here. the # of hands is consistent on every single deck table in tunica unless a dealer happens to occasionally screw up. why would you play single deck with 3 other players anyway? you are correct.... ro6 at the shoe. 4 ppl get 2 hands. but heads up you will get 5. sam's town is the same. the other casinos are ro5 mostly.

No, they are not. I didn't see a single place giving 5 rounds heads up, and 5 rounds heads up isn't even good. Probably not even 50% pen.

Even assuming youre correct, getting 5 rounds, the SCORE on a single deck H17 NDAS game with 50% pen is below 40. You're much better off back-counting S17 4.5/6 shoes, and you won't risk a back-off either.

The single deck in Tunica is uncountable trash, and the casinos that offer it sweat it. If you somehow manage to get heads up, you'll be caught within an hour. I've seen backoffs at the single deck games. In fact, the only other time I've seen a counter in a casino was when they were getting backed off of a single deck game in Tunica.

I took this statement as if you were implying that the pen varied from table to table (depending on dealer) even if the same # of ppl were playing at each table. but after your next post I realize that you were taking into account the fact that the pen is only >50% if there are a few key exact # of spots in play. which, according to that link, a Ro6 game is only acceptable with 2 spots in play. I did not know that. thanks for the link guess I should do my homework before commenting. my friend and I usually play together on single deck tables and don't play unless its just us anyway. he got flat-betted at the horseshoe so we don't play much single deck anymore regardless.. I do know however that both sam's town and horseshoe offer Ro6 single deck tables. played them several times. which again, apparently I need to study a bit bc Ive been playing a losing game except for when 2 spots were being played
