You aren't saying anthing that hasn't been mentioned many times before on this or other sites. Florida is a dreadful place to have any chance at making some part time money at BJ with a modest bankroll (straight counting that is). You'll have to travel to Biloxi, Tunica, Nassau, or Puerto Rico to find some decent games due to competition.
Thanks - wasn't sure about that. I'd certainly be interested in Biloxi and thoughts about if it's a worthwhile trip for me - about 8 or 9 hour drive from my location. Maybe I'll put up a new post...or just keep posting randomly until I'm pm'able.

To twist your words, I'd say more like "practically unbeatable" save a little positive variance gift from the Seminole gods.

On my one (and only) trip thus far, your options are CSMs (which incredibly were swarming with players, presumably due to their lower limits) and $25 8d ASM S17 tables, which were also very busy. According to a few dealers I talked to, limits go to $50 pretty quickly on weekends so you'd have to be very well banked to survive any variance the other way.

This may all be common knowledge here but after pouring over posts here for months I figured I'd jump in - and it just occurred to me that putting up actual conditions so specifically may be verbotten. If so please delete this and smack my hand accordingly.

So anywho, best of luck to the OP if he gives it a shot.
The 8-deck seems okay so long as there is decent pen and you are well-endowed in the bankroll department, which few of us are.

Where is this place? I googled and Shreveport is a city to the east of Dallas and is on the route of i-20.
Shreveport/ Bossier City Louisiana is approx. 3 hours due East from Dallas on I-20. There is Sams Town, Horseshoe, Eldorado, Boom Town and Diamond Jacks, all river boats. All have the usual table games. Also there is La. Downs if you like to feed the ponies and they have all slots.
Now, where's my check from the Chamber

I was in Shreveport a couple of months ago and these were the playing conditions at the places I played at: El Dorado 6D S17 DOA DAS RSA with $5/10 minimums, Sam's Town 6D S17 DOA DAS LS with $5/10 minimums. (One other difference between these two besides El Dorado having RSA but no surrender is one can play two or more hands at El Dorado without having to bet twice the minimum.) Additionally I know that at El Dorado if they raise the table minimum there is no "grandfathering in" for current players at the table. Diamond Jacks is DD H17 (if I remember correctly) DOA DAS $10 minimum. I didn't play the 6D at Diamond Jacks. Pen varied at all 3 casinos depending on the dealer, tho at the first two 75% seemed to be the norm.

Bacchante, all accurate. Only thing I would add is Diamond Jacks has no 6d, only 8 d. $5 and $10 minimums at 8d.

I am planning a trip from texas to florida and want to try casinos along i-10.
Could some guys recommend as many casino as possible?

I have been to Coushatta(where I won every time on 4 trips) and Ise of Capre(where I won if lucky) and realized 3:2 payout and S17 are very important factors.

Thank you guys.
Biloxi is the place. You'll get S17 at Isle, (1,2,4 deck games, and the 1-deck game IS 3:2) and S17 at Treasure Bay. The other 7 casinos are H17. Every place pays 3:2, except Beau Rivage still has 2 tables of single-deck 6:5 (because "the player's like it", I'm told.). So basically no crapjack anywhere.

If you count, the best penetration is at the 2-deckers at Beau Rivage where they cut off 67% with a notch in the tray, (but H17 except in the HL salon.)

At Beau Rivage their shoe games allow late surrender and resplitting aces. At Treasure Bay, all the games allow resplitting aces.

Yep this is all right. if you play anywhere, i would do it all in Biloxi. The comps are also ez so you can eat free buffets most anywhere. DO NOT go to harrahs grand or hard rock. The games in those places are bad and so are the comps. Isle, Beau, and IP are all good places.

Just wondering if you could tell me what the minimums usually are during the week at the IP, Isle and Beau on the DD games. Also, did the Treasure Island use to be the Copa? Thanks.

IP and Beau DD are $25 during the day, sometimes Beau goes to $50 at night, but usually there are a couple still at $25 unless it's Saturday night. Isle is $25 but I've seen the DD go for $15 at off hours, never going to $50. The 1D game is often $10 or $15.

Treasure Bay used to be in the pirate ship partway between Biloxi and Gulfport, but it is in the same location with the casino attached to the hotel now. It's always been called Treasure Bay. You can get the DD game at TB for $10 most of the time (S17 but 50% cut mostly), and they'll usually have one $25 table.

I'm pretty sure the Copa is no more (which was down past Gulfport). In Gulfport they revamped the old Grand and created the Island View, which has the H17, 50% cut DD game for $25. A very nice casino but not great table conditions.
