Does anyone have any information on blackjack at Delaware Park Racetrack & Slots, Wilmington, Dover Downs Slots, Dover, or Harrington Raceway & Casino, Harrington? Supposedly Harrington is opening up its blackjack tables tomorrow, but I have no idea on # of decks or rules for any of them.

Anyone know the conditions of the games at the Harrington Raceway and Casino (since they opened first) in respect to table games' rules? Since it's in DELaware, we should keep it separate from PENnsylvaniA and West Virginia. IF my suspicions are correct for the northeast, then conditions probably warrant me to stay in the Atlantic City market and the CT tribes.

I called Dover and they told me that they PLAN on a June 22nd debut in order to be fully operational by the July 4th crush.

I am looking forward to the opening of Delaware Park in Wilmington, DE next week it appears to be. When I called they told me that they should be operating by the middle or end of next week.

That should be the largest, best outfitted, of the 3 DE stores.

I was in Delaware Park recently, they had the Shufflemaster One2six shufflers at every table on the main floor. For some odd reason all the tables on the main floor also have 8 deck discard racks.

I fully expect that their high limit room will be $50 minimums ($25 at slack times) 6 deck S17 games; but I could be wrong.

As far as I could tell the 2 blackjack tables in the high limit area had 6 deck discard racks and no signs of csm's. I wasn't able to get close enough for a real good look.

Harrington is nice. Actually, pretty classy for a racetrack type casino. But same ole same ole on slots--ie, no Video Poker machines.

Oh there is VP there. It is buried, but it is not worth looking for. It's a decent place to play straight BJ.

Actually for the time being its a great place for more than that.
You mean it's a great place for gay BJ too? Never tried that. :joker:

Seriously, there may have been a few other opportunities available but when I was there conditions were not optimum for finding them. Hard enough to get anywhere near a table.

The ride to Charlestown is shorter, but not all good highway. You have to wind through the mountains on the Virginia side on route 9, and if you pick the wrong time, it can be heavy in traffic from the racetrack crowd, not to mention the all new casino crowd. But an hour is sure better than two hours.

Coming from the Williamsburg area to Harrington rather than AC will cut my trip 2 1/2 hours..
And I like that track..
