Shoe games near Seattle

Looking for good BJ shoe games near Seattle. Any suggestions?
I just returned from Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma. It's about an hour from Seattle. The games are poor: 8-deck, $3, $5, and $25 minimums, H17, NDAS, NS, and at least two decks cut for pen. I managed to win a small amount ($122), but I will not return. The best AP there are the food comps. My wife got a $25 slot comp and I got a $20 table game comp for the buffet, which featured king crab legs. My comp would have been bigger if I had not gotten it before I began playing, but I didn't know the procedure. For the slot comp, you merely have to sign in and then return to the player's club two hours later, presumably after playing slots for two hours, but in actuality, you don't have to play anything. The cards are not insert-able into the slot machines, so there is no way they know if you actually do play. Tonight they featured lobster, but we were sightseeing and did not go. Of course, they have several other items as typical of buffets everywhere.

Tomorrow I hope to visit the Muckleshoot Indian Casino, which I am told is bigger than the EQC. If I go, I'll let you know how it turns out. It is 31 miles from Seattle.

I went before I read your message. You're right, it sucks! When I was there they had only one BJ table open. I put $5 in some slot and won $15. Then went back to Emerald Queen because someone said they had two casinos. The second casino had no table games---nada. So we headed back to the first EQ. I won $55 at BJ, and $37 at some crazy VP with a spinning wheel for last card dealt. So all in all, made $102, plus two $25 comp buffets.

Flying to Virginia tomorrow.

The Lucky Eagle

If you don't mind driving south on I-5 to Rochester Washington (south of Olympia) the Lucky Eagle has player friendly games. Single and double deck. Six deck shoe games-DAS,DAT,LS,usually cut 1 deck-perhaps less. On the single and double deck I think you can double only on 10&11 and you can't double after a split. The buffet is good. BTW what is NS? No splitting? Good cards!:joker:

That is not VP, that is normal slot machine. Output is pre-decided irrespective of your selection.. There aren't any true VP in washington..
hope Virgina is better for you..

Glad I didn't play long. It's screen was similar to regular VP, with hold buttons for each card and a deal button. The main difference was the spinning wheel for last card match. I thought there was some kind of law against a slot card game that was not based on random card selection from a 52 card deck. Anyway, when I hit a straight with an Ace of Spades match, it went bonkers and paid me handsomely. lol

In Virginia there is no gambling. But I do have W VA, PA, DEL, and AC to choose from. They all have better games than what I experienced in WASH. The main difference is the pen, but also, the NDAS is less common on the East Coast.

Stop wasting your time at the Indian Casinos in Seattle. Most of them within the Seattle area (keep in mind Seattle Area only, around the state you can find some good games) have 8 deck NDAS and crappy pen.

If you want some good games try the card rooms. Casino Caribbean in Kirkland is good, Roman Casino in Skyway, Skyway Park Bowl and Casino, Great American Tukwila, Great American Kent. All of these mentioned have six deck, and some with ls, rsa and $5 min.

Goldies in Shoreline has a good DD game $10 min, with 50% pen.

I know of a card room in the Seattle area that is 8 deck and has the best penetration I have ever seen. $5 min and $300 max This casino instructs all dealers to cut 20-40 cards back as they value more hands per hour. PM me if this interests you.

It was my first and possibly last trip to Seattle. I just went there because my wife had a business trip there. The games were lousy, but I actually did better than I did with much better games in Vegas the week before. In Vegas, the DD was better than 75% pen, but alas, H17 and no surrender.

Everywhere, it seems they are getting these games down to where only the best counters have a chance to beat them, and that only with a quick hit and run. It's almost as if the casinos are advertising for counters, the run of the mill type, who will be unable to beat their marginal games. Why would they do that? Because card counters have large bankrolls and are dedicated to beating the casinos.

What better target? A ploppy usually has $300 - $500 that he is willing to lose as part of the entertainment bill--maybe even $1,000. A self-proclaimed counter may have $2,000 to $5,000, and sometimes even $10,000. What would you rather have--50 ploppies with $500 each to lose or 10 wannabee counters with $5,000 each to lose? Of course I stacked the numbers, but my point is, the wannabee counter population might well be a target of the educated casino gaming strategist.

Otherwise, at least if I were a casino gaming strategist, I would simply bring in the unbeatable games, like I saw at Binion's--6 to 5 on blackjacks even in shoe games, and lackluster pen to top it off. Of course, Binion's will get no APs, even wannabees with such games so they must have made a conscious decision to cater to the ploppy trade alone. Funny thing is, the same owner has better games at the Four Queens. It's almost like he's running a test. Wonder which casino will win best profit margins for blackjack?

Sorry I haven't been able to check in for a while and missed that you were in the area. In addition to missing an excellent dinner at my house, you missed out on my observations about good and not so good games in the area. If you are still around, PM me and I'll follow up.

Why would you post this information on a public site? Post the game here, and it'll be gone in less than a week..

..What's that supposed to mean?

I wasn't too fond of your post, either.
First of all I didn't talk about penetration in any of the games, except for the Goldies DD which is not easily beatable anyway. These are merely the best games for playing BS. You honestly think they are going to stop offering BJ with good rules because I posted about it on a forum? Get a life.

There is something called competition, and if you've been to any of these casinos you would know they are desperate to get anyone in the door whether I write about it in a forum or not.

You said, "I know of a card room in the Seattle area that is 8 deck and has the best penetration I have ever seen."

I don't think the casino's will stop offering these games, but I wouldn't want to risk anything if it's not neccesary. Also, it could lead to games being watched closer.
