Quickest Profit Possible, Part 1

Here's the betting strategy that I've used so far (albeit only twice):
Amount per hand you bet: x
The amount of profits you want to leave the casino with: 3x
Total you bring to the casino, without debit card: 10x
Number of hands played after you win 3x: zero

The rundown of my 1st casino visit, knowing only basic strategy: I brought $100, played 30 minutes, made $45 profit, then left. The 2nd visit, however, I let my wife play beside me, with me as her coach: brought $210 total, played 8 minutes, made $110 profit, then left.

I predict I will continue bringing more and more money each time I go, and possibly lowering my profit expectation to 2.5x. Anyone have any thoughts?

unfortunately if you are not counting cards and are playing perfect basic strategy in the most common six deck game your expectation is about -0.54% . this means that eventually you'll lose the $155 dollars that your ahead and even more in the long run. if you learn to count cards you can turn that -0.54% disadvantage into about a 1% to 2% advantage then you'll make a profit in the long run.

With only a 10-unit bankroll and a 3-unit stop-win limit you will not be playing for very long. You shouldn't expect to last an hour with that sort of strategy. A 35-unit bankroll should be enough to get you through at least an hour or more.

In any case, you will have more losing sessions than winning ones. It might become frustrating to end a session after only a few minutes of playing, but do whatever makes you happy.

This exact same thing happened to me today.

I played for 13 hours straight using basic strategy, and played idk say like 7 different sessions.

I would buy in for like 50-100$, keep betting and every single time i came out with at least a $50 profit.

After 12 hours I was up $400 and then lost about half of it but then cashed out.

Of course this comes after I was down $600 over my last 6 trips, so yeah basic strategy doesnt make you win it just helps you lose less.
