I went to a casino today expecting to play in the promotion,

I put out a max bet ($100) and I got a blackjack, the dealer put 6 greens down to pay me I said "hey, its 2:1 from the promotion", and she said "there is no promotion" I said, I told her to call floor over

floor comes over, I calmly explain that I got a suited blackjack and they are running a promotion where it pays 2:1, its on your website,

the floor guy tells me, "sorry, the website is out of date, we don't do that promotion anymore"

I asked him if he would honor it because its currently printed on the site, he said they wont honor it, I to ask the other floor guy, he also tells me the same thing...

I dont want to make a scene, I am a regular at this casino and I want to keep playing there, but I normally play the DDD spanish game and not the BJ game

I quit playing blackjack and moved over to spanish 21, (I did some chipart to pout), played there for a bit and then left

can I report the casino for not honoring their own promotion?
also, did I handle this right?

Rules for all casino contests are written up well beforehand and are on file in an office somewhere and also possibly with gaming...they almost always say "management reserves all rights" or "management may end promotion at any time"

You will have zero luck complaining about this.

We were driving through Pennsylvania last summer using the iphone to look at the casinos there. Their websites were so dated they were advertising electronic blackjack when they now had live dealers. If a local had not mentioned the change to my wife, we'd have not stopped.

You'd think casinos would stay on top of their websites keeping them up to date and current. Bummer about the confusion.

Mount Airy? I heard a rumor last week that it was cancelled. I called and the players card services and the pit assured me it was still going to be doing the promo. i was unable to go so I was just checking for a friend. Did they misinform me?

There is no reason to complain in this situation. Casinos regularly have out of date web sites and cancel promotions.

It's usually best to not let the place know that you visited specifically for a promotion which is only advertised on a web page. Very few ploppies take the time to do research on web pages, and letting them know you did the research immediately paints you as a knowledgeable player. You're much better off pretending that you know nothing about the promotion, and then act pleasantly surprised the first time you win the promo payout. If they aren't running the promo, either don't say anything, or come up with a way to get someone else to do the talking on your behalf.

Yeah, good idea. Let them know you would have come regardless of promotion. With a promotion so effective they're sure to run more

In all seriousness, I see plenty of ploppies who are also promo whores. They won't decide to bar you from blackjack simply because you read about a promo online.

The last promo I played I called the casino and made sure it was still being offered. I had been planning to visit the casino at some point but since it was a far drive the promo value justified the travel expense. I may never had gotten around to it otherwise. It was a very nice venue. I am sure I will visit with my slot jockey buds to help with the travel next time. They sometimes treat me on the travel expenses because their BRs are so large and I have the only big vehicle that would fit everyone comfortably along with a comparatively small BR. My winning some money will help sell them that the place is lucky.

If they had another promo like that we would all be there.
