Just got back from my Biloxi trip. Overall I play 6 hours and lost 18 units. About 80% of my big bets went against me. About 40% of my big bets the dealer had BJ. I was able to salvage about 75% of those bets with insurance but still, some of those could've been MY BJs damn it! What can I say, variance can be a bitch. But I put in quality time at good games so I take a moral victory in that.
All the DD games I saw were S17 which was nice. Beau Rivage has good/great pen on DD although I did feel a little heat there. BTW, I don't know if they have a happening club there or what but Saturday night the place was almost overrun with hot, scantily-clad honeys.
One time I had a $50 bet and doubled down for 20. The dealer ended up with a 4-card 20 and paid me! Another time I was at 3rd base, hit 12 vs. 2 and got a 10. The dealer flipped over a 9 and ended up busting. The guy next to me thanked me for taking that card and gave me a green chip! I was so taken aback I'm not even sure if I thanked him.
I saw something pleasant yet surprising at Imperial Palace on Saturday night. The place was packed and every table was full, except one, where the dealer was standing all by his lonesome. Curious, I checked it out and it was a SD 6:5 game. Granted, I didn't check that all the full tables were not SD 6:5 but it was great to see.
