I went to hooters casino in Las Vegas to get a $100 in free slot play. I thought that it would be like the peppermill in Reno where you actually get a $100 in free slot play to play any machines. Instead what I got was a total ripoff. I got to play a machine that I could not cash out of. They only started me out with 20 credits and in order to win $50 I had to get 1,700 credits or have run turning $100 into $8,700 to win $50 if it was a regular machine. The promotion which I thought had a value of $90 or more actually had a value of under $1 I felt cheated. I learned that hooters casino has horrible slots.

Now there steak sandwich that I had at The Blue Onion was amazing, but do not gamble there!

That promotion you mention is free. Even if you have only a 1 in a million chance of winnning anything, it still is EV positive. The worse you can possibly do is break even. i and millions of players in Vegas would love to find a casino where the worse scenerio is breaking even.

Yeah, it's positive, but so is 25 cts. in lucky nickels, big effing deal. Obviously not worth going 50 feet out of your way for.

The Hooters "free play" offer is a classic in the annals of misleading casino promotions. Obviously, Hooters' purpose is to entice people to come in and gamble, without giving up anything of real value. I hope that this one is left in place for a long time, as a monument to and constant reminder to visitors of the lack of concern of Nevada government for the interests of casino patrons. The law of fraud that prevails in every other state has no application to Nevada casinos, it seems. Bring'em in, fleece'em for every penny, and give'em a swift, hard kick in the butt back across the state line.

Gotta side with Shadroch on this one. It's free, and you can walk from it if you become bored with it. Practically the same deal going on at Casino Royale.

It might make some of you folks happy to know that Hooters in all likelyhood will be outta business in a couple months.

good luck :joker:

Casino Royale has been doing this same thing for years.

There is ample warning all over the internet of the futility of this promo. Five seconds of googling would have found this.
