I got back from a weekend getaway on saturday night. My wife and I were just having a fun weekend on the canada side of the falls and doing some walking around. We parked at the Niagra casino and what a change since I was there two years ago. The place reminded me of some small slots palace in the out skirts of the desert. I would have to say that over half of the tables that they had are gone. I found one table 15min hand shuffled the rest csms and 25min and 50min at that. The falls view wasn't much better so I would have to say the canadian casinos are just about worthless for us to visit anymore. I did play and take them for a little ride but no serious amount was wagered. blackchiipjim

Did you check out all the floors of Niagara? I think there's three. It has been remodeled, but I didn't think they reduced the numbers of tables. In any event, you're right that with mostly CSM's it's not for counting. Sometimes Fallsview will have hand shuffled games.

casino niagara has a 5$ handshuffled 8 deck blackjack tables right when you get in beside one of the roulette tables. It's only open from monday to thursday and during the morning. Around 11 to 12, the table switches to 10$ min, but if you had been playing 5$, they will let you bet it. On fridays and weekends, nothing under 15$. I don't know about fallsview though.

The two casinos on the Canadian side are terrible, they both go out of their way to provide horrible service. The policy for both casinos is to cut 2.5 out of 8 decks. Both casinos have reduced the amount of their blackjack tables recently. I get the feeling neither want table games, even when its busy they are slow to open tables.

Casino Niagara 27 tables
1 - 8 Deck shoe ASM
14 - CSM's
12 - 6 Deck handshuffle shoes in VIP room. Pen 66% min $50 max $1000

Casino Fallsview 36 tables
8 - 8 Deck shoes ASM's
18 - CSM's
10 - 6 Deck handshuffle shoes in VIP room. Pen 66% min $100 max $2500 NMS entry
