Does anyone of you know if there are land based casinos in Thailand? And if yes, what are the conditions regarding BJ?

Thanks in advance

The answer is no there are no legal casinos in Thailand at this time. The Thai government is just starting to toss the idea around but it is at the embrionic stage. I have an old school friend who lives in Bangkok and he has been keeping me up on the subject since I visit there often. My last visit was in 02. Hope one day there will be some because it would be the icing on the cake as far as making Thailand a perfect place to visit. Lets hope soon.

nc-tom thanks a lot for your reply :) . It's a petty because I was thinking of going there, now I will propably not. Do you have any place to reccomend me where I can combine nice luxury vacations and BJ with good conditions? I have been recently to Egypt where someone can find both, so I am thinking of going there again, unless I find something similat to that.
One one more: Do you know if there are any casinos in Dubai?

Well BJM Thailand is still a great vacation even without the casinos. Now there are casinos in Cambodia my friend has played at in Seim Reip and outside Phon Phen but I have not been to those yet. Said the rules are 8 deck da2, das h17 and Ins but they burn a card before every shuffle. There is also a casino outside Vientiane, Laos which I have played at. Has similer rules as mentioned before but was 6 deck. Otherwise if that does not sway you to go there then how bout this.F**k the muslims and go to downtown Las vegas. You can find good games there. Enjoy your holiday where ever you go. LOL.:)

Well, I would LOVE to go to Vegas that's for sure, but I heart they chase card counters like hell! Am I right?
Ah you just have to look dumb and play smart. It is a cat and mouse game. Besides there are so many places to play that you can always check out the sites and the games at the same time.

nc-tom many thanks! I am planning to come to US this September for my online business and I am thinking of staying a little longer (about a week) to play some BJ or Poker. I will be in Philadelphia, so at first I was thinking of going to Atlantic City, but I heard that the conditions there are very bad. So I an thinking now of taking the plane and go to Las Vegas. Are there any places to see or generally anything esle to do besides gaming? Ever been there yourself?

There are other things to do yes. Besides touring through the big casinos on the strip ( where often the casinos are grander than the BJ though you can find a decent game here and there if you keep your eyes open) the Grand Canyon is a 5 hour drive away. You also have the Hoover Dam as well as the National parks in SW Utah if you want to spend a few days touring.I try to get to Vegas at least 1 or 2 times a year. No matter how many times you have been there it is always a blast.

This game sucks! Do you happen to know the conditions in Las vegas?
Hmmmm.
<<Lots of 8 deck DOA, DAS, S17, no surrender and tough to find penetration over 75%>>

I would roughly estimate the house edge on this game to be slightly less than .5%. I wouldn't call that "bad" for a multi deck shoe game. What have I missed here?

There are all kinds of different conditions in Vegas ranging from single deck to eight deck to CSM's with many rule variations in between. Good games are getting tougher to find all the time. What can you do. The worse the rules the larger the bankroll you will need to make decent money.

I know a lot things about BJ. I am playing it semi-professionaly almost 6 years now. The problem is that in my country the last 2 years, the casinos introduced the continous shuffling machines so the game ended here. As you can understand I am moving abroad to find a decent beatable game so I am trying to discover where my next trip will be. I will be in Philadelphia, USA in September for an Internet marketing course and I am thinking where should I go, Atlantic City or Las Vegas? I am inclined to Vegas though.

Vegas does have the better games but I disagree with the post before that said it was very hard to find penetration over 75% in AC. If you go to Taj Mahal, you shouldn't have a problem getting decent penetration of up to 85%
