Anybody know a web page that lists the current playing conditions (most importantly the deck penetration) for casinos across the midwest area? Or is there anyone whose willing to share their personal info?

I would recommend you get CBJN. It is probably the best source of information available for playing conditions.

I play alot of Indian casinos in the Midwest and conditions are very slow to change from year to year. However, pen is probably the one condition that is the quickest to change, but even pen stays the same at many casinos year in and year out. If you don't want to pay for a copy of CBJN get the free sample copy. It is only 1 year old and alot of the information is still very valid. Here is link. (Dead link: http://bj21.com/ads/CBJN1004.pdf)

I believe the Wizard of Odds has the current casino rules without pen also for free which he gets from CBJN.

There is also Trackjack.com. I don't hear much about this site anymore. It had the potential to be better than CBJN. Does anyone thing Trackjack is any good? http://www.trackjack.com This site is not free.

Definitely start with CBJN, but my in my experience pen is much more variable in Midwest casinos than in Vegas. I am always able to find much better (and much worse) pen than CBJN indicates, especially in the HL DD games. As always, CBJN is a great start, but hardly the final word.

I'd be happy to give you some more in depth tips once you know where you are going.

Don't waste your money on that garbage. Associates have let me peek at it for free before, and the few places it is accurate on, it is easy enough to get information on anyway.

CBJN useful? If you're going to LV, sure. If you're a Midwest Player, keep your money!

Woefully inaccurate in many instances, both in favor of and in detriment to the player, depending on the entry.

Just went back and compared my notes on some midwest casinos I've hit lately to the latest CBJN, and I have to agree. Some of those entries are at least a year or two out of date. I even saw one note which referenced an upcoming date of April, 2010.

In short, there's a lot of good stuff out in the midwest. Apparently CBJN won't really help you find it.

the midwest is crazy. One day you'll have a store cutting off 2 decks on 6d and then next day they are dealing down to .5 decks. It also goes the other way as well where previously great games turn to crap very quickly.
