Can't blame him. You initiated a very beautiful friendship-to-be.

It happened to me a lot. I frequently gave people wrong signal that I need a friend. But the truth is that most people on Earth are lonely.

Why can't you be a mentor to him?
Are you a Franciscan monk? I think I saw you playing in Wheeling. Do you always wear the brown robe when you play?

I was recently playing and an awful player sat down at my heads-up table. He made some really smart plays like doubling for less ($5 double on a $25 bet) 9 v 7 and he pulled a 2. After he lost, he asked me if that was a good play and I made the mistake of telling him doubling for less is always a bad idea, cuz you're limiting yourself to one card.

After the count went neg, I wonged out and started another fresh shoe at another table, heads up. Guess who comes, too. The casino was unusually empty for the number of tables open, so I did a lot of jumping around. My "partner" followed along each time.

Of course his bad play didn't bother me, but he was as slow as hell, and that did bother me.

Ever experience anything like this? How do you dissuade someone like this from joining your table? This place only had MSE tables.
Find an intelligent looking blackjack player and point this guy to him. "See that fellow over there. He is one of the best blackjack players I have ever watched play. If I could play like him, I'd be a millionaire. I wonder if he's winning tonight, or just pretending to be an average player? The pros are very cunning!"

As in Peter Conway, PC for short. Has anyone on line ever met up with him at the famous "Counters' Table?" Just saying.

I don't have a stalker player, but I have a stalker TCP dealer who's table I have never sat at, yet will always come up and talk to me where ever I may be in the carny pit. It seems he's wise to the play.

Maybe he wants to be your special friend. Are you a good looking specimen of a human being.

If he exposes his hole card, you need to stalk him

Perhaps he is looking to have you collude with him to give you 100% flashing.
If you're going run the risk of getting locked up for dealer/player collusion, at least let it be on a better game

He does not expose his HC. In fact, this particular dealer has the by far the cleanest dealing procedure making the play impossible. It is pretty clear that he is knowledgeable of the play.

I never even thought of this possibility. This theory seems to fit extremely well. He is so over the top friendly with me it is almost scary. I'll be at a UTH table and he'll come up and start talking to me, although he won't stay more than 20 seconds. (It doesn't appear he is trying to bring heat on me when he approaches me when I'm playing another table).

I had always assumed that he was wise to the play because perhaps he had used to do it himself. I thought that this was his way of saying I demand respect from you because I am wise to the play.

Point made. He only deals TCP, though.
