Novelty I.D Shops in Vegas?

Hello Guys,

Some of you probably know of my predicament at my home casino, if not, refer to the following URL:
http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bb/showthread.php?t=20278

From that experience, and the responses of that thread, I've learned that I should try to maintain as much privacy as possible.

I have also learned that, if you cash in big, and also play big, while asking not to be rated, there is an automatic heat from the pit critters... which I have already experienced.

I've read here, that a lot of AP's use Fake ID's or legally called Novelty I.D's, which is a great idea, as I would get comps, and on top of that, hide my identity.

So to get to the point, I was wondering if anyone here knows where I can go to get a fake I.D, I am currently in Vegas for the next few days.

Thanks guys, and long live AP's, we're the rebels for the innocent victims to Casino's!

Some of the check-cashing stores make them, but they are NOT good quality - they do not look official.
Good novelty IDs must be mail-ordered or photo-shopped at home. zg

What's the official word on novelty IDs? I know it's illegal to use them with intent to commit fraud, but is using a fake ID to obtain a player's card considered fraud if the player is able to collect comps? Is it fraud if the player has not been previously barred from a casino? I know this was the subject of discussion recently, but I don't think there was any definitive answer.

Are there other, less risky, methods of obtaining a player's card in a different name?

If you have a friend who's approximately your age, have him get a card for you. Memorize his address and his birthday.

If you don't know anyone in Vegas, you can go into a poker room, befriend someone who plays poker and who's a local; and try to get him to do it for you. This is a bit more risky, because you're basically confessing to a stranger that you're a card counter. I know someone who HAS successfully used this method in the past. What YOU get out of it is the ability to resume play in places where you have a problem. What HE gets out of it is whatever COMPS you may generate. If you can comfortably explain it THIS way to someone, and if he's smart enough he'll GO for it.

You can always surf the slot areas for lost cards. Doesn't help you with comps, but it lets you avoid trying to play unrated.

Do you know any college students? If so, ask them where to get the fake ID. My daughter tells me the going rate where she goes to school is $150 for a high quality (w/hologram) non-scannable ID. Scanning is extra :)

Another possibility is ask an illegal (like the guys on the strip handing out the porn cards)

Never let a fake ID out of your hand.

No. But still requires caution. zg

That is interesting. I've never known that.

Could illegals' fake ID fool police?
Just looking at it, probably (especially if it's an out of state ID). However, once they run it through their computer, you're toast. NEVER present fake ID to law enforcement.

With newer technologies this is becoming very risky. I constantly try to read the pits screens and the amount of info at some casinos is scary. I've seen players pictures pop up on the screen. Also your age seems to be pretty standard as well. If you are in your 20's and you pick up a card from a 70 yo it will raise instint suspicion in the pit.

Can you give me any references for the mail-ordered option, it appears I'll be back here for the march madness.

Be careful with this, I think there was a lawsuit recently over using novelty ID.
On what basis, and was it regarding casino's? Also do you have any references?

Well I hold a canadian driver's license, and for an odd reason, they have last name first and first name last, so I can switch my names I guess. And as for address, I can always use a P.O Box back home, i'll try that today. The only thing I don't like about this is, they will track my play, and when they see a pattern, won't they catch on?

Asking a friend is a good idea, meeting a gambler in a casino and confessing to him you're a counter, bad idea... am I correct?

A lot of elements come into play, and I think then there is a legal ground for getting charged, because of identity theft, and or taking someone else's property.

I'll try that as soon as I get out of my hotel room tonight, ask the porn dudes.

I don't plan on using this card on any form of government authority, it would be extremely stupid.

Where do they get the picture? From the scanned drivers' license we use to sign up with?

P.S: I've been playing 2 hours at every casino with best games, though it's been fun, variance is kicking my ass, down about $6000, just bizarre events, the count is high, and a 16 becomes a 21 for the dealer. Of course considering my two-year experience, it's nothing new, but still a little challenge to accept it when it happens so frequently at times :p

buy novelty id

I'll definitely buy a few of those, it'll be fun having multiple comp cards, but considering the time needed to complete this, i'll probably just get these when I'm back in Toronto

Yes some casinos scan your license when you sign up. Never ever let a casino scan your license. First it makes identity theft real easy for any employee with access to that info. Who knows how well a casino protects that info. I wouldn't trust them. Second once they have your digital drivers license photo it makes it so much easier for them to insert it into their facial recognition software data bank and get a more accurate picture of you.

For some odd reason, when I changed my car's registration from NY to PA, AAA had my last name first and first name last, so my DMV record on car registrations has been that way for decades. (But driver license is correct.) It did not stop there. My tax record from local school district also has my last name first and first name last. (But federal and PA tax records are correct. So is the name on my house title.) And the casino closest to my home also has my last name first and first name last even I gave them the correct driver's license.
