A strange payout rule in Tunica

#1
Just got back and thought folks planning a trip might to know about a weird pay-out schedule. I picked up a glossy card printed by Shufflemaster that explained the unique rules covering single deck bj at this casino (sorry don't remember which one so this is a generic warning.) Now I know that some think 6-5 payouts are bad, but how about 3-2 payouts on suited bj and even money on unsuited!! Wonder how that affects the e.v.

Advice: go to Fitzgeralds. Single deck pays 3-2 and has $5 minimum on weekday mornings. Dealer does hit soft 17s but that's pretty standard in Tunica. No doubling on splits is the only other negative.

Thats worse than 6-5 on all BJs.
100 BJs-$10 bet at 6-5 will pay $1200.
You'll get suited about 25%
so (25x15)=375, plus (75x10)750=1175
I hope the dealers were wearing bikinis or something.

Bally's Single 21

That game would be at Bally's. They play Single 21 which is the same as Super Fun 21. The only difference is that all suited bj's pay 3 to 2 whereas in Super Fun 21 a suited diamond bj pays 2 to 1. All other bj's pay even money, but are guaranteed winners,

375 + 750 = 1125

I knew it wasn't good so I had no trouble passing on by.

As a side note, I almost never saw a full table at any of the Tunica casinos. I was there on weekdays but morning, noon or night really did not seem to make a difference. Craps appeared to be the table game of choice.

Played the Fitz Friday night. Many open seats at the tables. Dealers said traffic has been down since gas went up, but that this weekend was even slower than usual.

They were kind enough to part with some of their money, give me a free dinner and a free breakfast. Met a very nice older lady who claimed not to be an advantage player. She left the table up over $1800. Dealer told me she was being watched very closely.
