I had the misfortune of staying overnight in a motel about a mile from Harrah's Chester. I couldn't step outside for a cigarette without being accosted by bums looking for handouts. They literally hang around the motel entrance waiting for guests. But I guess it's not so bad - they'll offer you a swig from the mystery drink inside their brown paper bag if you give them $5 toward a six pack.
They were just concerned for your health and trying to keep you from smoking.

I've also had a grand time staying at the luxurious and elegant Dead Hooker Inn.

Nicest way from I95

Take exit 8 east toward the waterfront off I95. It is the easiest, shortest, and nicest drive to Harrah's Chester. Head east and turn right at the main intersection. Take a left into Harrah's a short drive down the road.

And if you're lucky you'll get to see a Chinook or V-22 taking off at the waterfront. Really cool stuff!

Chester IS a Ghetto

I used to commute through Chester to work EVERY day.
One day(6am) I'm on I-95 heading for the Blue Route (I-476),
look up and see a BABY CARRIAGE flying through the air and
heading straight for ME. These darned fuel efficient cars have
no power, so I couldn't speed up to avoid it, so I slowed down
and it hit just in front of my car, and bounced off of the bumper.
Scary!

When I got to work I called the Chester Police to let them know
what happened, BUT, I never found out if there was a BABY IN
the CARRIAGE! Maybe that's a good thing.

Chester is a VERY high crime area. The casino area may be a
little better, but it's still very near drugs, murder, JBM, etc.

I haven't been there to play yet. Depends on my employment
situation(deteriorating). I'd only go during the day time.

Once you get inside the complex, it's relatively safe. But just to be sure, use the valet service or try to find parking close to the casino doors. Like recommended in this thread taking exit 8 off I-95 is the best way to go, and it's more scenic.

Have only played 3 sessions at this store and have had 3 losing sessions. I'm well ahead at every other PA store I've played, so I am beginning to wonder what's going on here. I know the sample is very small so I am still chalking it up to variance but logic does not always win over emotion so I guess I've been gun shy about this place. I play the $10 or $15 on 8 deck games due to BR requirement on $25 to get max bet out. Only play $25 on 6 decker due to lower spread requirement........so, I'm curious as to the people here who have cited success at this store if you are playing the green or red chipper games?

I've experienced success with both denominations, but if I had to pick one, I'd say the green chip tables have been more generous. This is most assuredly due to a faster speed of play more than anything else.

Lots of modest wins, no loses. Stopped in to get out of downpour on I95 once, played a shoe maybe two and won 30 units. Left right after. That was my best time spent.

How is pen on the $25 tables? Have not paid much attention to them since exceeds BR right now due to spread needed with 8D game.

3 sessions dood? Cmon seriously? What do you possibly think is "going on there"? LOL
Where are these $25 six deckers you speak of? I dont see them. High limit room is 50$ mins no?
While Im in this thread I have to ask- Are one of you the little man I have dubbed the "little mole man?"

Most annoying little dood ever. About 4 feet tall, wearing hipsack.Very concerned at all times. Looks like a tourist from the Netherlands.
Pathetic itty bitty spread, red chipper. Most OBVIOUS back count antics ever. Will take an open seat, wont play while obviously scanning the cards. You need another hobby mole man- please take up an instrument or something. And stay away from me- Im tall and I scowl at you alot- when you sit at my table I even mutter hilarious rude comments at your face.

Last time we played same table I hit 25 lucky lady bet for 625? Cmon Moleman show yourself.

As I said....."I know the sample is small so I am chalking it up to variance." I only ask the question to see if anyone else has experienced much poorer results here than at their other games. As to the $25 6 deckers......they do not have any at Chester as far as I know. I was referring to the $25 6D games at Parx that I will play often with a 1-15 spread. I don't think that is enough spread at 8D game for my desired ROR so I tend to red chip it if only games are 8D to lower my ROR.

Harrah's Chester

Harrah's Chester has 6D, $25 in the HL during weekdays. They will call the PB and shuffle on you if you get suspected of being an AP, and I'm not talking betting anything close to a table max bet either. Still decent game when they don't shuffle.

Up at Harrah's last half of August. Many dealers cutting almost 2 decks in 8 deck shoe. You could still find some good cuts though. Worst cuts were in the HL pit on the floor. Not sure were the HL room is.

The pit by the noodle bar is the HL room.

That's the one. I was at a $15 in that pit. My comments are based on cuts at the 3 tables I played at. Not an attempt to survey the floor. If they were cutting when I walked by I would watch. No skinny cuts that made me sit down.
