Starting saturday, september 18th, foxwoods will now allow players to accumulate comp dollars by playing slots and TABLE GAMES. Which can then in turn be exchanged for CASH. At a 2:1 exchange rate. It is applicable only to comp dollars earned on the same day, and does not apply to previously accumulated points. This is according to and email I got last night that I decided to open instead of moving to the spam folder

Hell! I can get like 10/hr just in comps!

It's much better than that. On Saturday Sept 18th and 25th, you can redeem up to 1000 points at a 1:1 ratio for cash.

Bonus points are not adding to the qualified points total... table game points are.
Too bad. I wonder how they differentiate points that are already banked. We'll see I suppose.

I wouldn't be surprised if they tightened up a bit on point rates during the promo. It's a nice little bonus to have though.

It appears that they just count all points already accumulated as eligible... Probably because it would be really messy trying to figure out how many points were bonus vs earned and then when they used them was that LIFO or FIFO etc...

This must have been awful for the retail stores. As far as I could tell everyone went straight from cashing out their points to dumping the money back to the casino.

Yeah, seeing as I live so far from CT, when I get points, I always spend them at the stores before I leave ALWAYS. In a way though, it still best to do so if you can benefit from purchasing whatever you are purchasing.

Like food, and designer clothing stuff im goign to spend cash on anyways, however, the remaining unspend points can now be converted to cash!

I look forward to collecting 10-15/hr to play blackjack at foxwoods and take their money.

You can always get gas cards for 1.75:1 ratio, which are as good as cash if you can't get cash. I've never taken cash at 2:1. You'll need 87.5 points for a $50 gas card which you can do in a full day session.

Why do you think they're doing this? The typical ploppy says free money!!!! And blows it thinking eh, it's their money I'm playing with.

The casino figures why should we give their comp dollars to retail stores when we can give then chips/cash and get it back

Here's a little more info (Boston Herald)

(Dead link: http://www.bostonherald.com/business/general/view/20100928reward-points_deal_sparks_6m_cash_grab_at_foxwoods_casino_take_the_money_and_run/srvc=home&position=6)

Apparently there were huge logistical problems, lines, etc. And people weren't gambling with the $, as expected. They just took it home. Maybe they should have done it in non-redeemable chips or something.
