OK, I play at Harrah's Joliet from time to time, and I was just there last week.

6 decks, S17, DOA, DAS, RSA, no surrender. The dealer usually cuts off two decks, but you can occasionaly find a dealer that cuts less. I have never seen three decks cut off, as is reported in various places. The worst I have seen is two decks. One big problem is that the shoe and discard tray are both covered, so you can't see how many decks are unplayed.

For a short time, they had no mid shoe entry for ALL tables. They stopped that. Now, its no mid show for $25 and up tables, but mid shoe entry is fine for tables that are below $25.

Some tables are hand shuffled, and others have ASM's. They used to have CSM's on some tables, but they have been gone for a while now.

They recently added Lucky Ladies side bet, and Casino Surrender (which they usually call automatic payement.)

I am a BS Non Card Counting Player, and I play a progression betting system that seems to work very well. I was at Harrah's Joliet the last 3 Weekends in a row and made over $1000 in those weekends. I personally play at the No Mid Shoe $25 Tables, Because I feel if the shoe is going good the last thing I want is someone else to come in and sit down, it changes everything. Oh and just so you know, there are two ASM's at Harrah's Joliet, They are usually at the two $25 Tables in the main pit area. There is another pit off in the cornor, but those are all hand shuffled last time i checked.

are you 100% sure on this? because im gonna go check it out if they truely have a house edge under .43% (better than.. 6 decks, s17, das, da2, rs4).. do they have $10 tables with jumping in/out allowed? i went to both casinos in joliet about 10 months ago and they were garbage, but i didnt check the blackjack tables, as i didnt play blackjack at that time..

that is complete ploppy logic, and it doesnt matter if players jump in and out of the shoe, split their tens, or any of that, that is complete nonsense, and it is very sad that 90% of players believe in that garbage, but those same 90% havent read one single sentence on blackjack, just they "learn from experience" aka going bankrupt and blaming their losses on others.. i give this example to ploppies.. if i flip a coin in the air and it lands on the ground without being interfered with, what is the chance of heads? 50%.. now if i flip it in the air, and you come along and smack it out of the air and it hits the wall and lands on a table, what is the chance of heads? 50%.. thats the same thing as somebody making a certain move in bj, YES it will affect the outcome, but NO it will not affect the the chance of getting a certain card.. if you believe in "taking the dealers bust card", predicting streaks, "ruining the flow of the cards", and all that nonsense, you need to stop playing, because you are probably doing other retarded things to lose money, such as progressive betting! as my quote depicts, progressive betting goes like this.. small win, small win, small win, small win, HUGE loss.. i find it extremely odd that one would join a blackjack forum before learning the absolute basics on the game.. another thing i dont understand is how one can believe all that ploppy logic even if they dont know anything about the game.. i didnt know a damn thing about blackjack, and as soon as i heard what people at the table were saying, i knew for sure it was wrong, it was just so retarded.. i wonder if its just americans that have TONS of insanely crazy gambling fallacies that are apparently easy to believe since 90% believe in them

Before you have a coronary, remember that people with those beliefs are bringing the money to the casinos that APs are taking home. We NEED folks like that...you should be thanking them. ;)

According to CNBJ, Harrah's Joliet has the best house edge at .36 in Illinois.
Its a long haul for me, so I tend not to go but it is a nice gaming environment and with the edge being low I've done ok there.

I don't know if it fits your criteria though as my sheet (from the summer) lists the lower limit as 8 tables of 6 deck shoes with a 15 min 3000 max. It does not list 10 dollar mins, but maybe they exist at off hours. I have not checked out off hours at Joliet.

I am positive. You might be able to find a $10 table in the morning, including weekends, but by afternoon, $15 will be the smallest. Jumping in and out is fine as long as the table minimum is under $25.

the opposite can also be said.. if the casinos were filled with smart gamblers, they would offer better house edges otherwise they would go out of business! since the casinos are filled with morons, the casinos can offer whatever they want.. now if your talking strictly about card counting, then yes, but if your talking about anything else, then what i said is more true.. think about it, if you took all the idiots out of the casinos, sure they may have csms to thwart counters, but the slots would have like 3% house edges, roulette would be single zero, etc.. if i had to pick which would be better for "us" then i would choose the latter (what i said)
