Redone.

Decent. Nicer than before.

Weekend prowl <-- the prowl was for CP

limits from 10/15/25 to 199 depending on 6 / 4 / 2 decks.

HL room with 25 / 50 / 100 to 1000 limits.

Pen varies greatly but is quite nice.

enough tables to make it worthwhile if you are passing through.

I would say though that if you are a black chipper that the table min maxes may not work out as well.

So a $100 to $1000 on 2 to 4 decker doesn't work for you? How about a $25 to $500?

Let's keep a couple of things in mind.

Its an Indian casino. My guess is that they might be able to get away with more against an AP than say a MGM in Vegas or Harrah's in AC.

As pointed out earlier DD is 25 to 199. Since there aren't a lot of DD tables or other casinos nearby, you are going to have to do more play-all instead of Wonging.

For cover its probably better to do 35-50 as your initial bet and drop to 25 in a negative count. Of course you don't play all negative counts but there are not enough other similar games that you can completely just take the cell phone call, go to the bathroom, etc. So now you are talking a 1-6 or 1-4 bet spread. And at over 180 dollars you are talking about getting a table max / checks play call.

And you don't want to burn out your welcome right? So lets say you make your 1 - 1.5 units an hour. At 35-50 a unit, that's 35 to 75 dollars for the hour. And you are going to keep your sessions short right? So < than 1 hr on average right?

So you have an EV of 35 - 75 dollars on avg per trip to Mystic if you are talking DD.

Now since I didn't care as I was passing through, I don't mind not using a card...not being polite with a bigger spread and walking away with 10 - 15 units.

I would say that most of the time, people were not playing the 100 dollar minimums.

And that black actions (min unit black) was looked at closely at the tables.
It was not so much at the 25 / 50 tables where players would green chip and start at 150.

I would also say that for a decent BJ game, people would say you need at least a 1 - 6 spread for a six deck shoe.

So for a 4 deck shoe in the HL room, let's say your go 1 - 4 with a 150 - 600 or 200 - 800 spread. It may not be table max at 1000, but my guess is that your game is going to get some heavy scrutiny.

My feeling is that Mystic lake protects itself by having the lower bet spreads.
For example in Elgin, IL...they will have 6 deck shoes with a 15 to 2000 min max spread. Harrah's / Ameristar / MGM will have larger bet spreads across the US.

Mystic has 199 limits on the main floor because the state gambling compact requires additional surveillance for games with a max of 200+. Therefore, that max is only offered in the high stakes room, where there are indeed additional floorpeople, cameras, and eyeballs from the EITS watching.

Treasure Island uses the same system, except their maxes are 195. Apparently you can bet 2 black and get a dollar back if you lose at Mystic.

I did not want the heat from attempting to go to one hand to three hands.

But you could go from say $50 dollars on one hand to $150 dollars on two spots.

So you could then go to max of 199 and 199 for two spots. That would be allowed and obnoxious.

The best is going table max two handed in the DD game there doubling down. Winning, and keeping the bet out because the count didn't shift much negative, win another 2 hands in row. Smiling and taking my $1000 in black chips and leaving after only being in the casino for 30 mins...

If they offer 3 hands then why be afraid to take advantage of it, especially since you are a vistor there?

Obnoxious...?....you got me there.

Why such a fear of heat, play to win!

Going to three hands is one of the very few things dealers call out at this joint.

If they tolerate two just fine, why push the envelope and go to 3?

But if you are just passing through, that goes out the window. On the other hand I have to play there often.

I can think of a "number" of times that I would want to go to 3, if they offer it they can handle it. In your case I can also understand your feeling.

But then again at your skill level they have probably made you already.:) :yikes:

Believe me I have been burned the other way as well. But that was more when i betting out of anger and trying to progress my up.....I rarely bet table max unless I am at the DD and advantage is in my favor. I rather win the small battles and make a small profit, then try to go for the throat and win big everytime and end up broke....
