Beyond Counting vs. Exhibit CAA: Beyond Counting

#1
I was looking in the purchasing Exhibit CAA: Beyond Counting. I was wondering if there are any major differences between the Beyond Counting and Exhibit.. Mainly omissions in Exhibit. I'm aware there is new material in Exhibit CAA and Beyond Counting is worth more.

regards,

Other then the first one (BC) is soft cover and 223 pages, where the new edition, ExCAA, is a hardcover with 700 pages, there's really no difference.

They just made the charts & font larger so it was easier for us older guys to read.

I guess the secondary market (resellers) are asking more for the first one since it's out of print and was only a short run. The phrase "Worth More" is only in the eyes of the beholder.

No omissions

Nothing from the first edition was removed for the second edition, although some parts were updated. If you are serious enough to buy the book in the first place then buying the first edition is a bad bet. The additional information in Exhibit CAA is well worth it, especially since it will pay for itself if used properly.

For a ENHC player this book still worth the money?

Most of what makes the book really valuable is not about blackjack, but not sure what game are offered in Europe currently.

If you are interested in working to find ways to beat casinos other than counting cards then you should buy the book.

Buy the book. If they play 3 card poker where you live you may find that info useful. I found the blackjack sections to be the most important to myself so far but different players have different niches.

Thank You Mr. Mantis.

I'm sure the original is worth "more" in terms of collector value (eg. it's in the special collections dept. at UNLV), but CAA is worth MUCH more in terms of information, charts, new games, etc.

Beyond Counting was selling for more prior to Exhibit CAA being published. Now you see Beyond Counting selling for $70 or so.

Of course Exhibit CAA is worth much more than Beyond Counting. Exhibit CAA has everything that was in Beyond Counting plus about 500 more pages.

There seems to be a post that just disappeared here. I believe the post was by Praying Mantis. Praying Mantis can you explain in a little more detail about what your post meant.

I guess the post must have contained pretty sensitive information, so Praying Mantis if the information is too sensitive to say on the board please PM me.

SageFr0g deleted one of his own posts, but nothing from Praying Mantis was removed. In fact, I'd love to see more from him. :)
