Anything Left in Reno?

I'm so sad to hear the news of Silver Club and Siena. Those were my two base casinos for every trip. Being a long time nickel player, the rules were outstanding and only a 5 hour road trip away.

I'm taking some friends to Reno for their 21st birthday in February (20-22). Will the Siena be closed by then?

What about the other good nickel player havens... Boomtown, Rail City, etc...

The Siena, for the time being is alive and kicking (at least breathing) I just received a promo package from them valid until the end of February, if that tells you anything. The downside is don't expect to see the good old SD, DOA game there anymore, it's tutti finuti and is now D10. Boomtown, Rail City, Alamo, Western Village should be OK at least until early summer.

Thanks Bob,

Good to know for my upcoming trip.

Anyone know what games Grand Sierra has?
As of last November Grand Sierra continued to have a good SD game . . . $25 min, DOA, nDAS, H17, NS. Pene varies (slightly) by dealer. Lower limit ($5) SD games have D10/11 only.

My trip is coming up quick. Any big changes other than Silver Club, Fitz, and Siena going to D10? I'm assuming no $5 DOA 1D outside of Boom, Rail, Western, & Alamo?

Anyone been to Alamo recently? Last time I was there they were shuffling after every hand when I was playing heads up.
