2 times card change in 3 hours???

It depends upon the club. It also depends upon whether or not they use a shuffle machine. It depends upon how much abuse the cards are taking (ploppies mishandling them, spilled drinks, high humidity; etc.).

The house procedure in MOST places is to change cards on their DD tables every 4 hours. Many clubs change them every 2 hours; a few change them every 8 hours.

Is this heat? Maybe so, maybe not. Not enough information.

One big casino that will go nameless changes the cards on DD games every two hours. AND the dealer has to sort out ALL FOUR OF THE OLD DECKS AT THE TABLE. Unbelievably asinine. You can imagine how long all of that takes.

That would be a pretty expensive way to give heat, an unnecessary card change.

Although if they suspected they had a card marker in the game, taking his cards off the table and delivering them to the security office where they can be examined would make him get out of town very quickly. I'm sure markers and benders know precisely the procedure for card changes and any deviation from it will set off their alarms.

AM you are correct in stating that card cheats (ie:Benders, crimpers, daubbers, nailers, sanders, ect) do know the card changing procedures. If they take the cards off too early, the cheat will know somethings up and leave. But usually the pit will suspect hole card play but not seeing the signs will call the eye.

These crooks don't stay on the game long, they bet it up and leave. Once they leave, the eye or the pit will request the deck(s) for inspection and wait for the cheat to come back (and plaster his picture, if they have one, all over town).

Card cheats wil sit at a game betting table minimum applying theyre craft and start marking the deck, then they will leave the table and either they will come back in 30 to 45 minutes or someone else will and they bet it up. Surveillance will call GCB at this point, having the previous games cards that are marked and the current play (knowing those too are marked) They will be detained and then see ya wouldn't want to be ya....

It will be a difficult case when there is no known connection between the marker/bender and the big player. Just marking cards and walking away isn't illegal. Playing at a table where the cards have been marked isn't illegal. I've played bangers plenty of times in pitch games, but I had nothing to do with banging them up.

correct again, its real tough to prove when theres multiple people involved, you have to have all the decks theyve marked and alot of video to prove intent...but it has been done.

You got there & after an hour they changed cards. - Normal procedure.
Two hours later they changed them again - Normal procedure.

i was doing not bad for a small game , so many be heat???.over 8-10 dealers changed during the 3 hours.
Normal procedure for almost ALL SoCal casinos, and several houses around the country - including a few places in Nevada: Dealer change every 20 minutes. That equals 8-10 dealers in 3 hours.

Of course it IS possible that you encountered heat, but from the scant info you've given us, I really cannot opine much further.
