All gullible, and foolproof?

I suppose that even your best friends won't tell you, but …

you are profoundly gullible.
Hi Flash, you are disturbingly accurate when you use the term gullible as in my view, about 99% of humans are gullible, at least to some degree. When was the last time you got conned? Go on, you can admit it here as probably just about everyone has been duped by the time they reach 50, and I believe you may be beyond that figure. :cool2:

Australians are very gullible, particularly when it comes to gambling. I use as my prima facie proof, shameful figures for national losses on slots alone: $8Billion last year. For just 22 million population, this figure demonstrates that many Aussies have the Fantasyland belief that - despite the negative 14%HE against them - they are going to be lucky and win a slots jackpot... NOW, tonight. :(

But gullible BJStudent is not. Perhaps better words on this occasion might be inexperienced, over-keen or impatient. I'm sure your vast experience, knowledge, patience and willingness to assist almost anyone will be of immense benefit to him...

I dont play much in Australian casino's. I did a bit in the past at crown. These days its mainly in the US and Europe. I dont like the rules in Australia.

I also agree with the post about Ken Uston, its possible that he didnt contribute much to the team - but team play and figures arent everything.

I have heard that some team members got fed up with what was going on and there was lots of infighting. Its not a good reflection on how good/bad the player was. A player who is playing for a small percentage of the profits may not put as much effort in as one who is playing for himself.

I do have a problem with people bragging about how they won "Millions".
There are lots of good counters out there that have won big money - they just dont advertise it.

Beware of any individual saying they won "millions".

what a great conversation!

i'ts a shame we are not all in the same place, or this conversation over fine food and wine would be so much better, ahhh i digress.

Its all relative, really it is, your average joe doesnt have 6-16k to spend on blackjack "training" but some rich guy who bets 5k a hand its really nothing at all.

Katz, good on you for getting some formal training, and even more so at a good price, there is pretty good evidence to suggest that training certainly accelerates your opportunities at being an AP.

Then there is us that learn a different way, perhpas a little slower than others in achieving positive play, but equally just as valid a method.

Now onto conditions long past us.....

Again, its all relative, Yes the conditions have changed since BJ was a decent game in AU, but there are plenty of other opportunities, again, you probably cant win the big kahuna anymore, but the opportunities for modest returns are still there, even forgetting your fancy dancy software, eyes in the sky, implant "fake customers" and all the tricks they pull nowdays.

What you cannot be taught is how you act, your covers, how to improvise, how to sense an opportunity, how to push the enevelope so to speak.

Anyways, open another bottle of red and enjoy.

cheers

Ringy.
