scene one:
my wife is minding her own business, playing at a CSM blackjack table using her basic strategy card for the game at hand.
along comes an "expert" and observes my wife's play as she doubles down on an A6 versus a dealer's 6 up card, she lost that hand. (according to the expert this was a bad play)
the "expert" remarks to his friend, " i'm going to have to sit down and show this woman how to play."

scene two:
so as the story goes, the "expert" buys in for one hundred dollars, and about fifteen minutes later he's busted. now my wife who during that fifteen minutes or so still has all or more of her money.
the "expert's" friend returns to see his friend busted out and my wife still merrily playing along with her same bank.

scene three
the "expert's" friend says, " i thought you was gonna show her how to play, your broke and she is still playing?" as they were walking away from the table.

heh, heh, yeah, i know that.:p

also, we had a visitor at our local joint on that same trip.
a certain pro hustler, showed up in of all things tennis shoes, which was the first thing Y noticed.

but anyway this gentleman taught us a number of advantage play scenario's at the last bash, even pointed out a number of them specifically.
so me since the last bash, i've been exploiting some stuff he taught us at my home casino, but wishing i had more opportunities available at my home joint.
lmao, so would you believe that there was an additional exploitable scenario (X6) in my home joint right under my nose that had been pointed out to me at the last bash, but of which i just didn't notice? so since November, i could have been working this stuff to an advantage, but i'd missed it.
wasn't till this gentleman payed us a visit at the home joint and pointed out the existence of these scenarios that i even knew they were right there under my nose all this time.

so but anyway, this story i guess just goes to show how it is comparing experienced know how and a greenhorn like me, lmao.

anyway it was pretty cool prowling around this joint i've been working for over five years now, with this fearsome predator.:1st:
little did the powers that be in this joint know,
they should have been quaking in their boots.

exactly, the moral of the story, lmao.

like the old saying ' a little knowledge is a dangerous thing', Mr. Knowitall, is the prototype we so often see at the tables.
knows everything and is supremely confident while failing to realize the import is to come to grips with the facts about ones ignorance, all the while weighing the value of what you do know against the value of the pay off.
