Dealer incompetence at it's finest

Today, this newbie dealer paid off a $70 push and a $140 Double Down LOSER! Also, she was cutting ridiculously deep, and one time completely ignored the cut card and was about to deal to the bottom of the deck(this old cooter ploppie stopped her unfortunately).

The beautiful part was that the pit bosses had their backs turned the entire time - I don't know who's more incompetent.

You don't want her to run out of cards and then have the pit boss come over to rectify the situation. First it will take a while to resolve the hand. Second, she will be chastised by the pit boss and will then start cutting off more cards.

If you are heads up you want 1/4 deck cut (but be careful as it may be advisable to drop down to 1 or 2 hands rather than playing 3 or more on the last round). With 1 or 2 other players, you want about 20 cards cut off (maybe wong out if something weird happens and you are worried about running out of cards). At a full table, a half deck should be okay unless there are more than 7 spots.

And yes I've had dealers run out of cards on a few occasions. One time I even knew the value of the downcard due to the count.

I wish I could find dealers like this!

Another dealer, an old lady, flipped up her down card without giving my DD card. She had a 20. The pit boss let me pull my DD back and play like I saw the down card. I lost after hitting my 18, but got to pull back my $80 DD bet.

I saw the same incompetent dealer mentioned in the first story pay off a guy's $40 push hand last night. The pit bosses don't seem to let her deal that long, but they never seem to catch her mistakes lmao.

So you found two dealers that made a mistake....Have you ever dealt yourself? Have you ever stood there for eight hours putting up with obnoxious players, drunks and smoke being blown in your face? Maybe doing the late shift after dealing with your kids all day? I dealt for years and made many mistakes, Some I caught, some I didn't and alot I got away with. Perhaps you shouldn't be overly critical and just realize they are just people trying to make a living. Additionally they are probably not seasoned veterans so try to remember that too.

I didn't mean "incompetent" in a bad way - you got me all wrong. I loves the "incompetent" dealers .

Ok, instead of "incompetent", i'll use "extra friendly dealers".

The non-advantage!

If the dealer is having a bad day and you are sitting there time after time taking the mistaken payouts watch your back. One or two mistakes is one thing and saying nothing for shoes is another. I wouldn't want to be you if they decide to act on this dealers mistakes and declare you the criminal. We have gone around and around on this subject before and any good ap will not risk getting arrested for a situation like this.

I read right past most grammatical flops, but, since you're railing about incompetence, you should proofread your title a few times.

I'll take "at its finest" any day.

How can they arrest me for a dealer mistake anyway? I have no control of the game other than throwing out my bet and hitting/standing/doubling. How am I responsible for the decisions made by the dealer as long as I have no connection/relationship to that dealer?

I would argue in court that I am NOT A PROFESSIONAL BLACKJACK DEALER, so how can I be held legally responsible for making sure my bet has been paid off correctly? They have an army of professionally trained casino personnel and surveillance, and they are going to hold a drunken patron responsible for correcting their dealers?

I'm not a professional grammatician, but she is a professional blackjack dealer.

Collusion. She mispays you, you tip her. Profit for both.
