Overall, revenue continues its long slow slide.

N.J. threatening to revoke ACH's license to operate !

A few oddities found from the Sept. numbers:

ACH:

On something called "Flop Poker" they lost -$8,226 on $35,390 for a loss of [23.2%]

Craps "hold" was low at 8.2%
Baccarat Ballys lost $2,191 on 465,864 [-0.5%]

Tropicana:

Craps "hold" 9.858 million on a drop of $9,226,373 [107%] IMPOSSIBLE !

Minibaccarat: The Trop' lost $3,835,649 on $12,885,338 -29.8%

$25 slots -$37,004 [-3.8%]

Golden Nugget:

Here is my take for the losses: An AP has published a Gospel of baccarat which has helped more winners. For examples, (1) bet on Dragon ( 40 to 1 payout) when excess 7s and tens are in the shoe. (2) bet on player when you "see" or if excess 8s or 9s are "about" to hit the player.

In response to the Gospel, a Casino has dropped its bet limits as follows:

1) A max bet for Dragon was dropped from $200 to $25,

2) and a max bet for banker or player was dropped from $10,000 to $3,000.

Also, a Casino cut off 104 cards instead of 25 to stop the "bleedings"

The casinos may have to half-shoe some APs ( i.e., half shoeing super-AP-"D*v*") in the game of baccarat as if it were the game of bj .

What is this Dragon Bet?
I thought baccarat had 3 bets-banker, player and tie.

Jacob,

NO. There is no "Dragon Side Bets" in Atlantic City,

at least not to the best of my knowledge, although I have

not looked at a Mini-Baccarat table in many years.

Cheating is unlikely as the losses are from Mini-Baccarat

where the players cannot touch the cards.

Caesar's has had it for almost a year. You can find it at EZ Bac.

Per Google: Dragon bet is:

"a three card total of seven.

The appearance of this hand is the “Dragon”. Customers can make an insurance bet – the Dragon7© bet – that pays 40 to 1 when the three card winning Bank hand occurs."

Examples are:

(Banker's hands)

10 10 7

10 1 6

10 2 5

10 3 4, etc...
