FYI- I recently returned from NM and played/observed some games in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area.

Ohkay Owingeh, Espanola
DD $5 min H17 DOA DAS (if I remember correctly) LS against 10/11 only. 50% pen no matter who dealt. No mid-deck entry. (and when surrending you throw your cards face down in front of your bet.) they also burn two cards after the shuffle.
6D $5 min H17 DOA DAS LS against 10/11 only. 65-75% pen, they also burn 6 cards after the shuffle.

Camel Rock, Santa Fe
DD $10 min H17 DOA NDAS NS 65-75% pen
6D $5 min H17 DOA DAS RSA (I think) 75% pen

Sandia, Albuquerque
6D H17 DOA DAS RSA NS 75% pen (no mid-shoe entry)
also approx 66% of tables were continuous shuffle.

Route 66 just west of Albuquerque
DD $5 min H17 DOA DAS RSA NS 50-65% pen
6D $2 min I didn't watch or play, guessing the rules are the same

Hard Rock, Albuquerque
DD $10 min S17 DOA no resplits at all NS 50-65% pen
6D $3 and $5 min S17 DOA DAS RSA LS 65-80% pen
btw, they also have SD and other 6D games but 6/5 blackjack payoff which I didn't bother with.

obviously the penetration percentages are only what I saw and/or played

I'm surprised about the Hard Rock. That's liberal Vegas Strip rules at $5 per hand!

I'm a green chipper but I believe in rewarding casinos that offer such good rules at low limits. Call me old-fashioned.

thanks all! I'm a red chipper so if there's larger bettors at the table they'll draw the attention; tho just as points in passing re any heat- at Okhay PC was always watching/nearby because the pit is small; lousy pen at the place so didn't play alot. Camel Rock they did observe quite often, I was pretty much the only DD player, used a 1-8 spread (TC never went above 6) and variance was ugly for me, so they didn't mind at all. Sandia had no heat-- then again TC didn't move much. Rte 66 others were betting higher, PC did watch the game but not like hawks, 2 points tho; at one time alone at the table I insured (TC +6) preface it with "i have a hunch" (I was holding 2,3) and dealer didn't have it, "so much for my hunch!" I say. plus lost the hand, (PC watched the whole thing.) When I left PC said "you won some money" (I was up 30 units, $150, big whoop they can afford it) and I said "yes, but you know, it comes and it goes, I'm going over to play slots- I didn't, but wandered around some, cashed in and left. So take all that for what it's worth. Hard Rock- ploppy city at the 6D and PC pretty much ignores it. The DD they do watch, but with me playing $10 at neutral or negative counts everyone else was usually higher, often much higher, and like any other store PC is watching the $100+ bets. Sorry this post ran so long but those were my observations. And yes, good rules at Hard Rock, I figured the DD edge at .20 and 6D .25. (The DD game is usually crowded, someone said they have the same game in the HL area (if it's open), and it's usually $25 or $50 min--- I don't have the BR for that; I like my RoR to be low :)
