i think you're mistaken on the CSMs. I think they probably are ASMs - at least the last time i checked! but if you drive 30 minutes down the road you will find 4-5 casinos with grossly superior games. Morongo is a dump, just like other casinos that are on the outskirts of better games, they think that they don't have to compete with other casinos, and thus they offer rotten games. an 8D H17 game, with bad pen and screaming children everywhere, I think not.

Been at Morongo a couple of times this year/late last year. And yes, the $5 hand-shuffled decks are in a single pit that moves around.

$10 and up are CSMs....have no idea why...but won't play them.

Well it is official then, Morongo has the worst game in Southern CA.

Maybe we could all chip in 25¢ to get them an engraved trophy from BJInfo for the worst game in town!

We could be like the Anti-JD Power and Associates who give out awards to GOOD casinos:

Yeah, but Morongo has always had the worst game in southern cali. Interesting that the country goes into a recession and Morongo decides to splurge on new CSMs. I guess with 8 decks they felt they were losing a lot on shuffle time.

They were losing money on having to break open 8 decks of cards every few hours! it's a net cost saving measure, now they only have to break open 4 decks (guessing).:laugh::laugh:

Morongo will also not let you enter mid-shoe on the $25 min games. Those guys are crazy. Several other casinos in the area with a better game.

I won't play Morongo again. I was so disgusted the last time I went there (2-3 months ago), I sent a letter to their customer service and enclosed my cut-up players card.

What a shithole. And yeah - CSMs at every table. Couple that with dealers who don't want to be there and slow to nonexistent drink service and I lasted all of about 15 minutes before leaving. I have a friend who likes their cafe restaurant and all I can say is - I thought she had a more refined palate.

Wizard of Odds says the CSMs lower the house odds - so why is it I can't win when I'm playing a table that has one?

There are other places that you can play at where the rules aren't so terrible. I think Morongo keeps it's rules that way because they allow 18 year olds on the floor to play. Almost every other place is 21. So they get that customer base.

Check out San Manuel. While in a horrible location (right next to Patton!) their rules are far better (6 deck, DOA, DAS, LS). And they have shoes on $ min. tables at certain times - but those tables are slow and always croweded.

Other choices east as well (Fantasy Springs, Spa, Agua Caliente, blah blah...)
