Another Spanish 21 question

I know a few people who have been backed off from Sp21, myself not included.

I wonder if the suit comes up to the player and says, "Sir, you're welcome to play any game here except Spanish 21."

Thanks, I would assume there really is no room for cover on this game besides playing a tight spread.
There are no public/published cover plays for sp21 that I have seen. As you are no doubt aware, correct BS is incredibly complicated because of the multi-card bonuses. The flip side of that is that for surveillance to evaluate your play is very difficult. Both sides could tie themselves in knots trying to outfox each other on this one, much like BJ Switch. :cat:

Thanks Zoomie.
I'm not so sure cover would be smart anyways. From the numbers I have, you're advantage drastically changes with the count, so I would assume a disciplined bet spread would be in order. Along with a bigger bankroll than a blackjack AP would be used to. If anyone can educate me further, PM me. I know the casino people who read these posts are eager to learn more, but we've given them enough

The Basic Strategy, much less index plays, are obscure enough that cover plays won't help anything.

When you hit your 14 vs 6, and 15 vs 2 frequently, what additional "cover plays" do you need?

I think it was kewljason who said (I may be paraphrasing here) that no matter what your cover plays are, you're still putting a lot of money down when the count is good.

I have been half-shoed or bet-restricted at several places.

In all of the cases I was neither betting black nor spreading aggressively.

A major contributing factor appears to be my having "wonged-in-place"

more than would have been judicious.
