Rules for Basic Strategy in Atlantic City

- Virtually all low stakes games are H17 8 deck shoes.
- High Stakes games are most often S17 and 6 decks.
- High Stakes means $100 minimums and sometimes $50 minimums.
- H17 means that the dealer must HIT a hand of Soft 17.
- S17 means that the dealer must STAND on a hand of Soft 17.
- "Soft" means utilizing an Ace.
- All games are DAS (double after split)
- Other than the one or two remaining Single Deck games in A.C. all blackjacks pay 3 to 2.
- These rules do NOT apply to specialty games i.e. Blackjack Switch, Double Attack BJ, Single Deck, or Spanish21.
