Hey everyone.. im new to the site, but am planning on making a number of visits to the Turning Stone Casino in Vernon NY in the near future and was just wondering if anyone has been? and if you could just fill me in on what kind of blackjack games they have? # of decks, betting limits, rules...etc.
Thanks!

Turning Stone

It's tough, due to lousy pen on all games. Most are 8D, NS, DAS, S17. I believe mins. on 8D are around $15. There are some 2D -- one $15, and four $25 - $50 min. tables (depending on time). The 2 deck tables are NS, no DAS but S17, and they cut 50%. There's also 6D in the high roller area that I've never played, and a new very high limit area upstairs that I haven't visited.

T.S. is an awful venue.

Much better is either not playing or driving North to the
Akwesasne Mohawk Casino on the Ste. Regis
Reservation at the Canadian border.

As of Wed 4/22, there are no 2-deck games. I was there on Tuesday and played $25. 2-deck, and did very well. This after playing with some people on the $15. 2-deck that do not know basic Strategy.

Regardless......no more double deck. I asked last night if they would bring it back, the answer....no.

High limit room offers the 2-deck game still. 100 and 200 min bets.

Good luck.

Stay away from the low limit tables, to many kids with $100 daddy gave them. The $25 tables are ok but very full on the weekends. If you have the money you can go upstairs to the $500 min. bet tables. I hear they are not doing that well upstairs. Most of the dealers are grumpy. The Italian resturant is very good and also the steak house.

Harry,

Please do not spread inaccurate info on this forum.

T.S. has NO games worth playing and they will back you off
and even trespass you if you use your brain too frequently.

I am persona non grata there of course.

Furthermore, it matters not who the other players are at the table.

You apparently do not realize that to play a $500 minimum game,
you need a cash bankroll that will support that form of insanity.
What amount do you think that is ?
1/4 million ? 1/2 million ? More ? Less ?

Actually if I had the 800k BR required for 1/2kelly at 1.9% RoR I'd be playing purple, no sweat. :), but still a long way off.

Update:

My recent trip there, there seemed to oddly be more heat at the 15 dollar min tables, than at the 25 dollar tables, double deck excepted. For what it's worth, you can get an idea of which floors care about their job a ton and the ones that could give a crap on what's going on.

I would go into more detail, but it may be too much detail to be put out publicly.

Was the 15 min at the DD tables? They sometimes have the 25 min tables at 15 in the morning. Still only two table of DD (not counting HL area) ? Feel free to email with details. Thanks

I can't private message, probably has something to do with my number of posts right now I think.

last time I went there I did decent, and can't wait to get back there again. their DD is good, even with the NS and NDAS... Service is awesome and they have many rooms in the hotel that they are willing to comp you for barely any play at all. the steakhouse is phenomenal, and even the buffet is decent. all in all one of my faves.

careful what you post

Putting specifics into your post is a bad idea. Putting them in the title is the worst. You can't edit the title as far as I know. Don't make the casino job of identifying you any easier.

No, the ploppies bad play provides no "cover" (you meant camouflage)

The opposite is true, as your play differs from theirs.

Given so many data points it is a trivial task to plot where you reside.

Be discrete.
