Default Turning Stone Casino, Verona, NY

I just though I'd throw up the conditions for the Turning Stone in Verona:

Rules: S17, DAS, split any number of times (that I know of),

Limits:

Minimums:

Eight Deck Shoe: $5 (weekdays and the off weeknight), $10 (the $5 tables during the nights and weekends, $15, $25.

Double Deck: $100 minimum.

Pen: Actually quite good for the shoes, usually in the 80% - 90% range, certain dealers will cut it off 2 decks in, but for the most part you can usually find 1.5, 1, or as little as a half deck cut off if you do some studying.

As far as double deck goes I'm not sure, I imagine no better or worse than any other place.

Tournaments: The first monday of every month they run two blackjack tournaments, one in the afternoon and one at night. the entry fee is $25 and first prize for each toruney is $2,500. Every once in a while they'll run a big tourney, like on New Year's Eve, in which the entry fee is $100, and first prize is $25,000.

Overall I would say that this casino is a good place to play if you can't get to the big cities and you're trapped in Upstate NY. Keep in mind though that it is on an Indian Reservation, so if you get caught counting and they want to hassle you with your winnings, you may be in for a fight.
