Chicago area casinos
Going to be in the Chicago area this weekend and I wanted to get in some time at the poker table. Any Chicago area casinos with decent poker rooms? thanks

Now that would be a good trick. The Horseshoe near Chicago (Hammond, IN) does not have any poker rooms.
The Majestic Star casino in Gary, IN and Resorts in East Chicago, IN has poker rooms. I don't know how good they are because I rarely play, but I think they're decent. The Majestic Star's room is larger than Resorts.

On a side note can anyone tell me the best blackjack rules and more specifically are there any really good Spanish 21 tables in the chicago area? With either the double again option or dealer stands on soft 17?

Hmm... Maybe it was Resorts. I know it was a Harrah's property... Played 6 hours and won $10.

I'd rather play poker with a bunch of drunk guys than the crap blackjack they had there.

It seems I have no recollection of where this occurred. I know I played blackjack at the Majestic Star, and I know I played 7 card stud for several hours at some river boat in Gary, and won a few bucks for my effort. Other than that, it's a haze...

The Empress Casino in Joliet now has NL Hold 'em and limit hold em. I just got back about 90 minutes ago. I didn't play poker but sat in on a few shoes of 21. With my $200.00 bankroll for my 1st time out in a long while, I managed to walk out with $330.00 in under 2 hours. Subtract the 20 I put in the tank and the burgers I ate afterwards, it was an easy $105.00.
Can't wait to go back after my trip to Colorado Wednesday.
Good Luck to all!
