I was a passenger on a plane going into chicago midway, we went left, then right, back and forth, all the while dropping altitude. when I saw land was maybe 10 feet beneath us, the jerky pilot made another major correction. only thing I could imagine, was to prepare for the plane skidding sideways, and where was the exit.

That's the lowest I've seen on Maho Beach. There are warning signs on each end of the road, but people still sit there. You have to take that road to get to the Dunes Casino. A good casino, but closed last I was there.

On my last trip to Vegas the plane kept leaning to the left, then to the right, repeatedly as it flew to and over the runway. I have flown a thousand times, but never experienced anything like this except maybe a propeller driven aircraft. I was unusually calm as I figured this may be my last day on earth. I don't know exactly what to attribute the calmness. too. Maybe it's a "You can't do anything about it anyway" attitude. Lol Naturally we landed safely, and I didn't hear a word from anyone. I think most people close their eyes on landing. Lol

I wasn't frightened--I didn't have anything better planned.

Sure you did if you were flying into Vegas. What "on earth" could be better than playing BJ?
