Carlin is hilarious. Can't imagine why Qfit picked the one on religion. Haha Carlin could make serial killing funny, but I must admit, religion is far easier. While I often did not agree with his views, or another irreverent humorist, Mark Twain, I could never deny their belly busting, roll on the floor, humor. He will be sorely missed. Here's a clip of his on football vs. baseball.

I bet George would find it funny to be receiving the coveted Mark Twain Prize for American Humor by the John F. Kennedy Center posthumously. I can almost imagine his monologue for the occasion. Sweet dreams, George! The world is not the same without you. PS-- When you see the guy who is looking down from the sky, maybe you can suggest a few improvements. We could use some about now.

On religion: "He's Almighty, Creator and Lord of the Universe,
and He needs the f**king money!" - Carlin

From Mike Adams/NaturalNews: Comedian George Carlin died yesterday. Regardless of whether you agree with his politics or views about the world, Carlin was a champion of free expression. He used words to educate and entertain, relying on a radical verbal edginess to challenge the status quo while daring to expose the truth about war, Big Government, the Bush Administration and many other topics. We will miss Carlin's social commentary, but we know his words will live on as some of the most provoking and insightful words that have ever been assembled for public consumption. Especially those seven words, if you know what I mean.

George Carlin's Seven Dirty Words
The big seven words you weren't allowed to broadcast were: BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP,and BEEP, BEEP.
Here is the original Carlin comedy routine that caused the Fracas.
"I love words. I thank you for hearing my words. I want to tell you something about words that I uh, I think is important. I love..as I say, they're my work, they're my play, they're my passion. Words are all we have really.
We have thoughts, but thoughts are fluid. You know, [humming]. And, then we assign a word to a thought, [clicks tongue]. And we're stuck with that word for that thought. So be careful with words. I like to think, yeah, the same words that hurt can heal. It's a matter of how you pick them.
There are some people that aren't into all the words. There are some people who would have you not use certain words. Yeah, there are 400,000 words in the English language, and there are seven of them that you can't say on television. What a ratio that is. 399,993 to seven. They must really be bad. They'd have to be outrageous, to be separated from a group that large. All of you over here, you seven. Bad words. That's what they told us they were, remember? 'That's a bad word.' 'Awwww.' There are no bad words. Bad thoughts. Bad Intentions.
And words, you know the seven don't you? Sh*t, P*ss, F**k, C*nt, C*cks*cker, Motherf**ker, and T*ts, huh?
Those are the heavy seven. Those are the ones that will infect your soul, curve your spine and keep the country from winning the war.

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will get me arrested.
Carlin was present at Lenny Bruce's arrest for obscenity. According to legend the police began attempting to detain members of the audience for questioning, and asked Carlin for his identification. Telling the police he did not believe in government issued IDs, he was arrested and taken to jail with Bruce in the same vehicle.
Carlin was also arrested on July 21, 1972 at Milwaukee's Summerfest and charged with violating obscenity laws after performing his seven words routine.
