Default counter meet-up

Hey,

this counting business can get a bit lonely/antisocial, so i was wondering if any other London-based counters want to meet up and discuss tactics/play together?

shed.. be careful, would you really meet up with a total stranger you met on this site and offer to share money with him? I know counting can be boring but it is much better to spend a year persuading a close friend than posting threads to randomers on the web, you know what I'm getting at?

Of course 99% of the time people you meet will be perfectlyy honest but you can come across 'bad'uns'

Good luck for future

Harman, yeah I figure you're right. I have a colleague from work who's my counting buddy but between us our BR is really meagre. I guess it'd be more exciting with more funds.

Not just more exciting, but more profitable, since you can have a higher max bet. You do need a large BR to play as a team usually, but if you don't have enough you could both play at the same casino, but just separately, and maybe call each other in on very high counts

Hi,

check out http://www.bjguru.net/, they are London based. I'm in Bussels at the moment, CSM unfortunately, gotta work for a while to build my BR. I heard they still offer ES10 in the country, maybe CSM maybe not &, I'm still banned from most of the country, so I do not know for sure. Maybe back in London soon if you wanna meet up. Used to play the four deck game, Stanley/LCI, until I got banned. Grosvenor/Gala very poor usually, not bad for ST & AP, Napoleons worse, Ladbrokes crap.

Hey ho..........

I want to go to London and play, but my problem is the expensive accomodation. Anybody interested in sharing accomodation costs somehow?
There must be a way we can think of to test each other in order to verify that we can trust the other one and our trust is not stupidity. Any ideas? I have one. To meet inside the casino. There you cannot steal the money, and all cameras see you together with the other person. Any other ideas?
(I will not unite my money with a team though, they really do that? I dont believe it unless if they are childhood friends).
However being in a team or a partner has the great advantage that all tables are counted and not just one, so each player finds favourable situations as many times as many are tha tables, whereas if he was alone he would be limited observing one table only (well, you can quit counting when the count starts being TOO shity right from the beginning of the shoe, but counting all tables till the last card is definitelly better).

Anyway, I can do without help from others in counting tables (I am used in the most accurate counting systmem of the halves). My only concern is to eliminate accomodation costs as much as possible.

My bankroll so far is very small below 7,000, so I want to make small bets (20-50 euros). I've had the negative variance in the past, and at some point the downswing has to reverse and never fall that much again. Unless if I belong to the 1% of the most unlucky people on earth.

In another somebody asked me how I got banned in Gala, Napoleons and Palm Beach. I answer here where the thread is relevant. At Gala I got banned before I learn to count, in 1999, I was a gambler and had lost 8000 pounds at Gala. One day I got so pissed off and desparate to win, that I went in Gala Bradford with the holy bible in my hands. At the reception they said "You cannot get in with that". I said "I will not go in without it" and they let me in. I placed it on the roulette table and won 70 pounds that night. A couple of days later I receive a letter saying I was banned. In 2005 they did not let me in London Gala thus it seems I am banned from all gala casinos.
In Napoleons London they already knew I was counting, but I was not betting or winning much, so the let me continue play. But one day I got high on weed, and I did a silly thing, the dealer was not paying the bet and I reached and took some of his chips The manager came and said "if you do that again you will get banned". I said "well, you have the power to bann me anytime". Now why I did the stupid thing to reach and get some casino's chips, I dont remember. I have stopped weed for 2 years now though.
Palm beach they banned me clearly because of counting. I had won about 2000 pounds betting 25-50 pounds per hand, but then I lost it almost all. After I lost it all, they next day they did not let me and were not saying the reason why. It seems that they were waiting for a downswing of luck to get their money back, and then bann me, and if it is that so, they are very experienced in counters banns.
Dont worry, I will not do silly things when I am together with another counter. However, I find it pointless that you hide you are counting they quickly know you are counting, do not think they do not know.
However, one additional reason I got banned from Palm Beach (and perhaps Napoleons) was that opened and closed boxes (is this called wonging?) which pisses the other players off. They were nagging "dont open and close boxes", but I was not responding to them. How do you people solved this problem? Certainly you cannot keep betting 10 pounds minimum bet!

The only solution to the problem of banning that I can think of, is not to go every day, and when you have won a lot in a casino (since the day you started playing), do not go back there, but go to the ones that you are losing or not winning much. When you lose without previously won much, they will not notice you are counting or they will doubt you are a good counter.

Sorry to bump up an old thread but would really like to hook up with fellow London card counters for a chat and a few drinks.... This would be more of a social thing and not necessarily for teamplay although the potential is there later on....

I hang out Napoleons, Grosvenor, LCI Clubs and Ritz Club mainly but would be happy to meet anywhere.... Let me know!
